The British icon’s remix LP for Positiva comprises eight mixes, edits, and remixes of his timeless tracks.
A limited edition of a remix LP from Elton John is on the way this Record Store Day. This dance music-focused project sees renowned EDM artists showcase their remixing skills on the EGOT winner’s epic songs. Elton John’s ‘Positiva Presents: Elton John – The Remixes’ is scheduled to be released on April 18, 2026.
This Remix LP featuring two sides will be pressed on glow-in-the-dark vinyl. It opens with an extended mix of the popular track ‘Cold Heart’ with Dua Lipa from genre-defying DJ and curator The Blessed Madonna. The remix album will have an availability of just 7,500 units globally, as per Nexus Radio. Side A of the project features The 2 Bears Remix Edit of ‘Sad’ by Elton John and Australian dance music act PNAU, ‘Philadelphia Freedom – Shine A Light Remix,’ and an extended mix of ‘Hold Me Closer’ with Britney Spears from German nu-disco and house music star Purple Disco Machine.
German tech house heavyweight Claptone’s remixing skills will be on display as he reimagines Elton John and Dua Lipa’s ‘Cold Heart’ on Side B. A mix of 1988’s ‘I Don’t Wanna Go On With You Like That’ by visionary producer, remixer, and songwriter Shep Pettibone is next up on the album, followed by a club mix edit of ‘Don’t Go Breaking My Heart’ featuring RuPaul by Sanchez. John’s curated remix album concludes with a KDME remix of the 1972 seminal track ‘Rocket Man.’
This release from Positiva, a dance music record label founded in 1993 in the UK, will be distributed solely via RSD retailers. Grab your copy of ‘Positiva Presents: Elton John – The Remixes’ this Record Store Day in April.
