The expansive 18-track album channels four decades of mastery into a bold, future-focused statement from John 00 Fleming on his very own JOOF Recordings.
Globally revered British electronic trailblazer John 00 Fleming returns with his first full-length artist album in six years, ‘The Lost Tribe.’ The 18-track body of work is set for release on April 10 via his own imprint, JOOF Recordings. It arrives at a defining moment in Fleming’s career, as he completes 40 extraordinary years behind the decks, a dual milestone that underscores the legendary DJ and producer’s creative longevity.
‘The Lost Tribe’ firmly faces forward with its unapologetic take on modern electronic music conventions, rejecting short-format, algorithm-driven production in favor of immersive compositions designed to unfold with intent and purpose. Every track comes with extended runtimes that allow space for atmosphere, narrative and emotional development; hallmarks that have defined his sound and DJ philosophy for decades.
Speaking about the upcoming album, John said: “Six years in the making, this album captures key moments and milestones from across my career, drawing inspiration from the highs, lows, and personal ambitions shaped by a constantly evolving music industry.”
The album title, ‘The Lost Tribe,’ carries layered meaning. It reflects a growing community of artists and clubbers who feel increasingly alienated by the current festival and streaming landscape. Fleming positions the album as both a response and a rallying call: a reminder that electronic music was born from rule-breaking, long nights and shared journeys on the dance floor.
This philosophy mirrors his enduring approach as a DJ. Known worldwide for his extended sets (often spanning eight hours or more), Fleming has long treated the dance floor as a space for storytelling rather than spectacle. ‘The Lost Tribe’ also marks a deeply personal chapter. The album was shaped during a period of significant reflection and transformation, including Fleming’s experience overcoming cancer, a time in his life that profoundly altered his outlook on creativity and ambition.
With ‘The Lost Tribe,’ John 00 Fleming reasserts his place within the dance music underground’s beating heart, reminding the scene that depth, endurance and authenticity will always outlast the noise.
John 00 Fleming – ‘The Lost Tribe’ will be released on April 10, 2026, on JOOF Recordings.
