ABSTRACT PAINTING WORKSHOP with YARLA
Workshop with Yarla Landeros
As part of CRANIA’s first official Art Residency of the season, we are excited to host a special workshop with resident artist Yarla Landeros, who has been developing her work on site at CRANIA over the past weeks.
ABOUT THE COURSE
During her residency, Yarla has been exploring abstract painting techniques inspired by organic movement and the surrounding environment. Her process combines pigment, water, gesture, and natural forces, allowing colors to flow freely across the surface and creating compositions that evolve through intuition and experimentation.
To close the residency, Yarla will open her creative process to the community through an introductory abstract painting workshop.
Participants will explore the fundamentals of abstract painting, working with color, gesture, rhythm, and composition through guided exercises and individual experimentation.
A special element of the workshop is the intervention of a lamp, transforming it into a functional art object using abstract painting techniques. Each participant will leave with their own unique piece.
No previous experience is required. The workshop is open to anyone curious about creativity and experimentation.
All materials are included.

We’re closer than you think — we’re located just outside San José del Cabo’s downtown (5 minutes), inside Puerto Los Cabos. The venue is only 15 minutes from Los Cabos International Airport, making it easy for both locals and international travelers.
Arriving is simple:
- By car → we offer on-site parking right next to the venue.
- By Uber or taxi → direct drop-off & pickup at our entrance.
