Coastal Promotions & Present: Re-O Week ft. Flowidus + Special Guest Critical Impact (UK) - Wellington
With Wellington missing out on O Week this year, we knew we had to take things up a notch for Re-O Week. We have secured not one, but two international artist shows for our biggest Re-O Schedule yet.
In true Coastal fashion, we have crafted up a mammoth drum and bass showcase featuring Flowidus and Critical Impact (UK). Flowidus is arguably the biggest drum and bass artist to come out of Australasia in recent years, with consistent sell out performances and over 10 million streams under their belt.
It would not be Coastal Re-O Week without International talent, so we are ecstatic to be hosting renewed producer Critical Impact direct from the UK as our special guest. Known across the globe for his boundary pushing production and banging baselines, he will be one not to miss.
We have our own Worthy on main support duties alongside an all-star student lineup of the Nexus Collective, Simple Conclusion & Gos ft. Joe Ioane and Jaymac & Vujanix.
Come join us for a Re-O Week live music experience where it is all about the drums and the bass, with a world class sound and lighting install at The Grand.

Flowidus Bio:
Born just prior to the early 90’s rise of drum & bass, producers Raphael (based in Raglan, New Zealand) and Garo (based in Perth, Australia) have rooted their sound in the form, both as solo artists, and now collaboratively. Their combined passion for good vibes, and being able to share that with their fans was what defined their stage name FLOWIDUS, with both producers being quoted as saying “when people see us or hear our music, we want them to feel apart of it."
Following their exclusive signing to Elevate Records, FLOWIDUS have spent the last few years cementing themselves as household names in the genre across the globe, gaining extensive support from the likes of Friction, Pendulum and Andy C to name a few.
Their extensive back catalogue includes smash hits such as ‘By Your Side’ with Friction & Raphaella which has notched up over 10 million Spotify streams, and ‘Shelter’ and ‘Said & Done’ both making their way in to the NZ Hot20 Singles charts with regular support from BBC Radio 1 and George FM..
Having toured extensively over Australia & New Zealand over the last 2 years, with sold out headline shows across the Tasman and almost every major festival you can think of under their belt, including Bay Dreams, Rhythm & Vines, Northern Bass, Origin to name a few. Now as the world reopens they have their sights firmly set on the UK & Europe.
The duo have hit the ground running in 2022. Kicking off the year with ‘Shell’ – a track name telling you all you need to know about the statement of intent behind this monster production. The pair just spent a month in the UK, applying the finishing touches to their next 18 months of releases, including selling out their first headline show in Austria. With an arsenal of new music up their sleeve ready to unleash and a string of UK & European bookings lined up for the second half of the year, their inevitable accent into the highest echelons of drum & bass is well and truly underway.
Critical Impact Bio:
Every now and then, circumstances, talent, and hard work align in the perfect formation to propel an artist to stratospheric levels of recognition. To those in the know, Critical Impact has been killing it for ages, but right now is his moment to step up to DnB household-name status
Even before he began producing his own music, he was intimately connected with the scene. Working with Dread Recordings and ATM Magazine, putting in the hours serving customers in Windsor's Menace Records, all while honing his skills as a deejay, the young Mr Impact put the graft in. An early break was becoming involved with the V Recordings' Movement nights, where he fell under the expert eye of Bryan Gee, who persuaded him to get in the studio.
His work ethic paid dividends as, almost immediately, his productions were lauded by the likes of Fabio & Grooverider, and he was signed (under the alter-ego "Will.I.Ain't") to Twisted Individual's Zombie label.
Progress has been rapid ever since. The Critical Impact name has been seen on a series of releases on some of the most respected imprints in drum 'n' bass. Formation, Chronic, Metalheadz, Playaz, CIA, and Clear Skyz have all played host to his brand of deep, dark, dancefloor rollers.
Always known for his work with vocalists, having collaborated with Carasel, Longman, Jakes and others throughout his career, late 2017 and early 2018 saw him take this style to unprecedented heights. His collaboration with Break and Skibadee, "Creeper", became an immediate anthem, rolled out and rewound by A-list selectors from across the scene spectrum. "Headbanger", featuring Carasel, Jakes, and Skiba again, came complete with a visual currently racking up the views on SBTV.
With more collaborations, more releases, and huge deejay sets lined up, Critical Impact is a man who's put the time in and earned his stripes, and is now reaping the rewards. Pay close attention.
