Hutt Collective Presents: Fio Fa [IRE] (Sunset Drifters)

We at Hutt Collective are stoked to announce our next show featuring up and coming Dublin born DJ & producer Fio Fa [IRE] (Sunset Drifters). Fio Fa is someone we’ve admired for a long time, so we’re thrilled to bring him to Wellington and share the clubbing culture we have over this side of the world!

Fio Fa is a DJ and producer from Dublin at the helm of the Sunset Drifters imprint and co-founder of party/label Pear.

Known for his prog-laden basement anthems and euphoric selections, Fio’s work behind the desk and decks exhibits a distinctively Irish sound - a unique combination of 3 decades worth of rave past. Styles like hard house, trance, progressive house and tech house are absorbed effortlessly into his timeless productions, which simultaneously highlights his insatiable drive to uncover forgotten sounds that makes his DJ sets a crucial listen/dance. His inimitable path has garnered him considerable attention both locally and afar thanks to notable mixes for Melbourne Deepcast, Truants, Oddysee and Boiler Room.

Fio debuted in 2017 with Sunday Pledge, a neat 2 tracker for the then nascent Pear label he co-runs with Jio. He subsequently went on to release two more records for his imprint, Dead Money Groove and U Drink, U Pay while making a further splash on labels Duality Trax and Radiant Records. 2022 saw him set up his own solo imprint titled Sunset Drifters, with a 4 track eponymous EP of rolling prog magic that has furthered his unique vision in the dance followed by 2023's 'Two Of Me' EP which further mined the golden house pastures.

On support, opening up the evening we are stoked to welcome back Rizzo followed by Hutt Collective resident & co-founder, Mathew Eveleigh and to close the evening we have a Hutt Collective debut for local guns Gordo & Teej!
