MONTELL2099 returns with a state of the art visual experience and groundbreaking new show
Audiology & George FM presents:
Montell2099 - The Vortex Tour
Saturday 18th March
Ngaio Marsh
8PM - 1AM
Hot on the heels of bringing his striking live show to coveted international stages including Belgium’s Tomorrowland festival, California’s HARD Summer festival, and an extensive North American tour, New Zealand electronic producer force Montell2099 has announced his upcoming Vortex tour across New Zealand, taking his new astronomical live show to stages in Christchurch, Auckland, Wellington, Dunedin, and Hamilton.
With brand new lighting, video, and stage design in collaboration with renowned live show specialists Human Person (Drake, Travis Scott, Billie Eilish), the upcoming tour is set to be an immersive experience inviting fans into Montell2099’s surreal and exhilarating Vortex universe. A woozy whirlwind of heavy bass, slapping trap, hard drums, and genre-bending frequencies, the new live show will see Montell2099 playing out brand new unreleased music, new singles including ‘Broken’ and ‘Mixed Emotions’ with Belgian drum & bass heavyweight Netsky, ‘Blicky’ with bass/trap master JUELZ, as well as hyperactive hip-hop edits, tracks from his 2020 debut EP, FORCES, and much more.
Based in Auckland, New Zealand, Montell2099 has quickly risen from small town Kati Kati to signing with American electronic maestro RL Grime’s coveted label Sable Valley in 2019. Since, he’s commanded stages worldwide with his surreal live shows, and made history as the first New Zealand act to play Belgium’s coveted Tomorrowland Festival, bringing his entrancing live set to the biggest electronic dance music stages in the world.
Playing five shows across New Zealand in late 2022 and early 2023, Montell2099’s Vortex tour is set to hit Christchurch’s Ngaio Marsh on November 25th, Auckland’s Town Hall on December 9th, Wellington’s Shed 6 on February 24th, Dunedin’s Union Hall on March 2nd, and Hamilton’s The Factory on March 3rd.
