You are cordially invited to attend the Ross Bicentenary Dinner

When: Saturday 17th July at 6 pm

Who: All residents of Ross and surrounding districts past and present

Where: Ross Community Sports Club

Dress: OPTIONAL Period Costume of the 1820’s (Come as a working convict, former convict, officer or members of the rich gentry - “Jane Austin”style) or come as you are comfortable.

Bicentenary Medallion

The limited edition Ross Bicentenary Medallion commemorates the day Governor Lachlan Macquarie named Ross on the 2nd of June 1821. The occasion is remembered with events in Ross throughout the Bicentenary year 2021. There is a limit of 200 Antique Copper (1 for each year) and 1 only Gold Medallion (to be raffled at the Remembrance Day Dance. Tickets for this raffle are now on sale. 

The image of Governor Lachlan Macquarie used on the Medallion is taken from a miniature portrait, (A5337 Miniature) from the Collection of the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences. Gift of Christian R Thornett, 1966. Photographer Marinco Kojdanovski. The original was possibly made in England, 1810-1825.

The Ross Bicentenary logo is the creation of Brett Harris, Ross 2021.

Medallions will be available for purchase at the Ross Bicentenary Dinner for $25.
