The Southern Meeting

Dunedin is the Edinburgh of the South, established by early Scottish settlers. Many came to New Zealand as a result of the Clearances but in spite of their forced departure, they never lost their love for their homeland. Not only does Dunedin have it’s own Moray Place and Princes Street it is reputed to have the highest number of pipe bands per capita, even outstripping Scotland! At the Southern Meeting we will dine and dance at Larnach’s Castle on the spectacular Otago Peninsula, swirling under chandeliers in a beautiful ballroom.
