Battle Kitty (Season 1) – April 19


Rocking a fierce pink bow, Kitty is small and fluffy and not an ordinary kitty. It’s Battle Kitty. Kitty is using its super-strength, monster battling intuition, and amazing accessories to unlock a new battleground as Kitty and Orc brawl with monsters. They beat out rivals and need interactive viewer help. This is so they can move through Battle Island and become champions. ‘Battle Kitty’ arrives on Netflix on April 19.

White Hot: The Rise and Fall of Abercrombie & Fitch – April 19


The documentary that Netflix offers its audience this week is – ‘White Hot: The Rise and Fall of Abercrombie & Fitch’. Abercrombie and Fitch conquered malls in the late ’90s and early ’00s with gorgeous models, pulsing dance beats and a fierce scent and all the cool kids were wearing it,” states Netflix. This documentary explores A&F’s pop culture reign in the late ’90s and early 2000s, how it thrived on exclusion but their “all-American” image shattered as exclusionary marketing and hiring practices came to light.

Russian Doll (Season 2) – April 20


Emmy-nominated actress Natasha Lyonne takes on the role of Nadia in Netflix’s ‘Russian Doll’. In this comedy-drama series, she plays a young woman, who is on a journey to be the guest of honor at a party in New York City but she gets caught in a mysterious loop.

Nadia repeatedly attends the same event. She dies at the end of the night each time. However, she awakens the next day unharmed as if nothing had happened in this show co-created by Lyonne and “Saturday Night Live” alum Amy Poehler. Natasha also serves as a writer and director for the Netflix original series. The second season of the show premieres on Netflix on April 20.

Yakamoz S-245 (Season 1) – April 20


‘Yakamoz S-245’ follows a marine biologist on a submarine research mission who, after a disaster strikes Earth, must fight to survive with the crew as a conspiracy comes to light. The series launches on Netflix on April 20.

He’s Expecting (Season 1) – April 21


The upcoming Netflix series ‘He’s Expecting’ is a comedy-drama set in a world where cisgender men can get pregnant. It also addresses the issues women face regularly. One such man is a successful ad executive, Kentaro Hiyama. Hiyama, who’s got it all figured out, becomes pregnant. Then the ad executive is forced to confront social inequities he had never considered before. ‘He’s Expecting’ is streaming on Netflix from April 21 onwards.

Heartstopper (Season 1) – April 22


‘Heartstopper’ is Netflix’s coming-of-age series wherein teens Charlie and Nick discover their unlikely friendship might be something more as they navigate school and young love. The series stars Kit Connor (‘Rocketman’‘His Dark Materials’), Yasmin Finney, and Sebastian Croft (‘Where Is Anne Frank’), among others.

The Seven Lives of Lea (Season 1) – April 22

‘The Seven Lives of Lea’ follows a woman who stumbles upon the body of Ismael. Ishmael is a teenager who disappeared thirty years earlier. This event took her back to 1991. It sees her wake up every morning in the body of a different person, with her body-swapping seven times as she tries to solve the mystery of his death – and prevent it.

Oprah + Viola: A Netflix Special Event (2022) – April 22

One of this year’s most anticipated interviews is coming to Netflix on April 22, wherein Oscar-winner and ‘How To Get Away With Murder’ star Viola Davis will speak with Oprah Winfrey for a new Netflix program, ‘Oprah + Viola: A Netflix Special Event’.
