Presented by Audiology Touring, this is URBANDAWN’s first tour of New Zealand. URBANDAWN’s Aotearoa tour began in early September 2022, with shows at Auckland’s Pointers Dance & Night Club, Wellington’s Meow, Hamilton’s The Back Bar, and Dunedin’s recently concluded Southern Sounds festival. His final stop in New Zealand will be this Friday, September 16, at the Engineers Bar in Christchurch. Tickets for this event are powered by Ticket Fairy.
Billed as ‘A Night of Drum & Bass,’ the party commences at Engineers Bar, located at 178 Saint Asaph Street in Christchurch, from 10 PM onwards. Claimed to be the only rooftop bar in Christchurch, Engineers Bar complements its rooftop setting with a diverse food and beverage selection as well as a variety of party spaces. In terms of its live music and DnB offerings, the venue has hosted the likes of DJs and music producers like LEVELA, Buunshin, Simula, Nick Gray & Kara, and Danny Byrd.

This will be URBANDAWN’s final show for his New Zealand tour, following a stellar performance in front of a capacity crowd at the Kensington Oval for Southern Sounds 2022. Supporting URBANDAWN in the lineup is a slew of artists from New Zealand – Drum and Bass DJ from Christchurch Indecisive, James ‘Reddish’, Razz, and Jackson Iles, who goes by the alias Alto.
Best known for his drum and bass project, URBANDAWN, Felipe Wrechiski was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil. He also has his own parallel music project, Wrechiski. In 2019, he won Best Track at the Drum and Bass Awards for ‘Come Together,’ which featured Tyson Kelly.
Speaking of the track, Felipe told Hospital Records in 2019, “Come together was a fun one. The idea, I had it in the car. So I did it for Hospitality On The Beach (Drum and Bass Music Festival) and that was the first time I played the tune. And the reaction was like – brilliant, overwhelming. I got super Happy!”
URBANDAWN is currently signed to drum and bass record label Hospital Records, which is based in the United Kingdom. ‘Power,’ ‘Together Again (I Pray),’ ‘Be Gone’, ‘Fly Away’ and ‘What Is Gonna Make You Happy?’ are among his popular mixes.
