Legendary Grammy-nominated vocal group Sister Sledge are locked in to perform at the South Facing Festival 2023! The RnB and disco queens will headline Temptation, London’s largest outdoor, all-day party, as part of the open-air South Facing concert series. It will be held at the iconic Crystal Palace Bowl in South London, UK, on August 6.
Energizing the arena with renditions of their classic dance floor singles, Sister Sledge is slated to make an appearance at South Facing Festival for an all-day party full of funk, soul, RnB, and disco! The ‘We Are Family‘ hitmakers’ now consist of family members Debbie Sledge, Camille Sledge, Tanya Ti-et, Thaddeus Sledge, and David Sledge. Bassist David Jones, drummer Ira King, guitarist Paul David, and keyboardist Luis Higuera complete the touring line-up.

Sister Sledge has dominated concerts and dancefloors with their hit singles ‘We Are Family,’ ‘He’s the Greatest Dancer,’ ‘Thinking of You,’ and ‘Pretty Baby‘ over the years. At the 22nd Annual GRAMMY Awards, the group was nominated under the ‘Best RnB Vocal Performance By A Duo, Group Or Chorus’ category for the chart-topping single ‘We Are Family.’ They released ‘Free,’ their first single as a collective in nearly two decades, in 2022.
Also en route to the Crystal Palace Bowl are deep house, soulful house, nu disco crew Horse Meat Disco, English DJ and producer Greg Wilson, and renowned multi-genre DJ Norman Jay MBE, unloading oodles of disco and funk. London-based House Gospel Choir is also penciled in to perform, with many more acts yet to be announced.
July and August 2023 will see the hallowed multi-genre South Facing concert series rope in performances from Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Raver Tots, Primal Scream, and Crag David, to name a few. Previous editions have witnessed the likes of London Grammar, The Streets, Jungle, Becky Hill, Dizzee Rascal, Richard Ashcroft, Max Richter, and the English National Opera on stage.
