Sounds of Afrobeats Festival Returns to Sydney for 2023 Edition

Sounds of Afrobeats Festival is back with music, dance, live performances, and food stalls, all in celebration of African culture! This grand festival will be held at Watson’s EQ in Moore Park, Sydney, on November 18 from 2 PM to 10 PM. Tickets for Sounds of Afrobeats are brought to you by The Ticket Fairy.

The return of Sounds of Afrobeats, Australia’s largest Afrobeats festival, will take place in the beautiful outdoor courtyard of Watson’s EQ at Moore Park. To immerse yourself deeper, get to the dance floor and enjoy the music and live performances by DJ Fasmwa, Squat, Gabu, KTime, Ovo, CMJ, and many more artists, exploring genres like Amapiano, Baile Funk, and Soca, among other African and global beats that will get heads bobbing. Sounds of Afrobeats will also feature mouthwatering flavors from authentic African cuisine stalls, rich and aromatic stews, flavorful grilled meat, and rice bowls, which will help submerge oneself through African culinary traditions.

Sounds of Afrobeats Festival 2023 will take place at Watson’s EQ in the outdoor garden, underneath fairy-lit trees that come to light after the sun sets. You’ll be quick to notice the exceptional speakers placed around the outdoors, usually drawing attention on Fridays and Saturdays, hosting various artists and performances.

Apart from the annual Sounds of Afrobeats festivals, the organizers put forth a bevy of shows throughout the year, including Sounds of Afrobeats Vivid Edition and Palm Wine Festival in 2022, the maiden edition of Jiva Festival this year with B Wise, CMJ, Diola, Gabu and more, along with organizing Sydney shows of South-African DJ/producer duo Major League DJz and amapiano icon Uncle Waffles.
