Danish electronic dance music icon HEDEGAARD wraps his signature “car music” style around rap artist CANCUN?’s energy to deliver a banging new track, ‘BAD GIRL.’
Released in the first week of September via Spinnin’ Records, the nearly three-minute hip-shaker has already racked up over 225,000 streams on Spotify and sparked a wave of dance-related videos and choreography across social media.
True to HEDEGAARD’s signature flair for experimental production, ‘BAD GIRL’ fuses an infectious blend of Afro-Caribbean influences with pulsating electronic textures. This collaborative outing sees CANCUN? deliver raw and gritty vocal sections and flowing hip-hop bars over a relentless beat. The track builds with dark melodic elements and a marauding, club-ready tempo.
With ‘BAD GIRL,’ HEDEGAARD and CANCUN? drop yet another addictive track that slides seamlessly into their growing joint discography. Previous highlights on their 2025 ledger include ‘THE MADNESS‘ and ‘TWINKLE.’
Meanwhile, the OneHundred label founder continues to keep his social media followers with his ongoing two-month-long journey across Western China. According to HEDEGAARD’s Instagram, his aim is to write ten songs during this trip, blending his electronic sound with traditional Chinese melodies. A Chinese documentary crew is also reportedly filming the project, which is expected to air both regionally and globally later this year.
