UB40 ft. Ali, Astro & Mickey - Waitangi

The ultimate summer band returns to New Zealand in 2019 with a series of shows to celebrate their 40^th Anniversary. That’s right – it’s a UB40TH!

UB40 featuring ALI, ASTRO & MICKEY will headline Reggae By The River in Waitangi on Saturday 26 January 2019. This is a new home for Reggae By The River, which was held annually for 4 years on the banks of the Waikato River and attracted thousands of fans with it's chilled out summer vibe. Now relocated north to the banks of the Waitangi River, adjacent to the historic Waitangi Treaty Grounds, we are thrilled to bring the love to the Far North.

With 2019 marking 40 years since UB40 first performed live, the reggae icons will be celebrating with a ‘greatest hits’ set that features global smashes including ‘Red Red Wine’, ‘Cherry Oh Baby’, ‘Rat In Mi Kitchen’ and ‘Kingston Town’. Ali, Astro & Mickey will be joined on-stage by their incredible eight-piece band and will be supported by some very special guest artists (to be announced).

There is very limited parking available at the UB40 concert at Waitangi. The easiest and safest way to get to and from the festival is to get a return bus ticket.
