About Cervecería Tulum
Cervecería Tulum is a one-of-a-kind brewery-restaurant and luxury boutique hotel complex set in the jungle of Tulum’s Jaguar National Park. Billed as Mexico’s first “beer boutique hotel,” it combines a craft brewery, restaurant with live shows, spa facilities (including beer-infused jacuzzis), and elevated jungle suites or “nests” (cerveceriatulum.com ) (tulumcerveceriaartesanal.com ). Owned by the Gran Arrecife Maya group, the venue emphasizes sustainability: it uses solar and wind power and even cooks with Caribbean seawater to highlight ocean flavors (cervezatulum.com ) (tulumcerveceriaartesanal.com ). Cervecería Tulum occupies a sprawling site at Km 230 on the Cancun–Chetumal highway (Carretera 307) near Park Jaguar (Parque del Jaguar) in Tankah, Tulum (tulumcerveceriaartesanal.com ). It has become notable both as a trendy Tulum hotspot (praised for its creative farm-to-table Mexican cuisine and craft beers) and as a cultural experience – from Mayan-inspired ceremonies at the on-site cenote to contributions to local reef conservation (cerveceriatulum.com ) (www.opentable.com.mx ). The venue can host from small intimate gatherings up to large-scale events (the Jungle Venue stage can accommodate 100–5,000 guests for concerts or conventions (www.opentable.com ) (www.opentable.com )), making it a major entertainment hub outside of downtown Tulum. In sum, Cervecería Tulum matters as an immersive “living sanctuary” experience: a refined jungle retreat where lodging, dining, music and Mayan lore intersect (cerveceriatulum.com ) (tulumcerveceriaartesanal.com ).
Events and Programming
Cervecería Tulum stages a variety of events year-round, blending cultural performances with modern nightlife. Each evening often features a “dinner-show” format called “Bright Nights,” combining fine Mexican cuisine, ancestral cocktails, high-end mixology and live entertainment (traditionally a DJ set plus Mayan fire or ceremonial dancers) (tulumcerveceriaartesanal.com ) (www.opentable.com.mx ). The venue’s signature programming includes electronic and world-music DJs alongside traditional “Mayan rituals” or acrobatics, so guests regularly experience a jungle-meets-underground atmosphere. For example, New Year’s Eve celebrations at Cervecería Tulum have become annual drawcards: they sell tiered VIP packages (e.g. “Surf & Turf + Open Bar” or a “Gold VIP” with premium liquors and front-row seating) from about $245–390 USD per person (www.opentable.com.mx ). These lavish events feature a multi-course surf-and-turf banquet, international top-shelf spirits, fireworks or bioluminescent fire dances, and a midnight ceremony (often called a “bioluminescent midnight ritual”) deep in the jungle (www.opentable.com.mx ). Outside of holidays, the Jungle Venue also hosts private parties, weddings and corporate events (it advertises a capacity of up to 5,000 people) (www.opentable.com ) (www.opentable.com ). Additionally, the everyday schedule includes brewery tours, beer-tasting sessions, and birthday or anniversary celebrations in the restaurant’s staged environment. While Cervecería Tulum is not generally a concert hall for touring bands, it regularly offers special dining experiences with live DJs and dance performances. Local guides note it as a top craft-beer destination (“great for beer fans”) and mid-range contemporary venue (rickkkcir.blogspot.com ), reflecting that guests typically spend about $30–60 per person. In short, the programming mixes nightly themed shows with occasional full-production events, so visitors can expect everything from dinner with a fire-dancer show to full-scale jungle raves and all-inclusive parties.
Tickets and Booking
Tickets for Cervecería Tulum’s dinner-shows and events must generally be purchased in advance. Reservations are handled directly through the venue’s contact channels and official website (the on-site box office is not used). The booking process is strict: tickets require prepayment and are non-refundable (tulumcerveceriaartesanal.com ). In fact, the terms state that once credit-card charges are authorized, they cannot be changed or canceled (tulumcerveceriaartesanal.com ). For popular nights like New Year’s Eve or special cultural ceremonies, seats can sell out quickly. Seeking early bookings is wise; packages for big celebrations are often released weeks in advance, and premium packages (with VIP perks) have limited availability. Typical pricing varies: regular dinner-shows and tours run mid-range (roughly MXN500–MXN1,200 or about $25–60 per person, including a multicourse meal or tasting menu) (rickkkcir.blogspot.com ), whereas holiday extravaganzas or all-inclusive experiences can range from a few hundred to nearly a thousand USD per person. To secure a spot, customers should contact Cervecería Tulum directly by email or phone. (Official contact numbers are listed on their website and promotional materials, e.g. WhatsApp booking at +52 984-218-0506.) It’s best to reserve as far ahead as possible, since even weekday dinner-shows fill up. Walk-up tickets are rarely available during events, and standard walk-ins may only be accepted on slower nights without entertainment.
Seating and Layout
The layout at Cervecería Tulum is casual and open, designed to blend with the jungle setting. The main restaurant is an air-conditioned hall with tables overlooking the brewing equipment (tulumcerveceriaartesanal.com ). Guests typically dine at communal or private tables indoors, or in the outdoor courtyard under palm-thatch roofs. Outside, there’s a beer garden vibe with lawn seating, patio tables, fire pits, and a visible beer bar. A prominent feature is the large illuminated “TULÚM” sign in the courtyard – a favorite photo spot mentioned by visitors (www.opentable.com.mx ) (www.opentable.com.mx ). Beyond dining space, Cervecería Tulum has a dedicated events area called “UJ – The Jungle Venue,” which includes the “Cenote Stage” (an open-air stage by a cenote), a covered “Factory Hall,” and garden spaces for live shows (www.opentable.com ) (www.opentable.com ). For big events, the stage floor is typically general admission (standing), while tables can be reserved in front rows by purchasing a VIP package (www.opentable.com.mx ). For example, New Year’s VIP upgrades guarantee a table at “the best location in front of the show and DJ booth” (www.opentable.com.mx ). Otherwise, most seating is unassigned. Acoustically, the space is engineered for live performance: professional PA systems and lighting rigs are in place on the Jungle Venue stage to support concerts and ceremonies (www.opentable.com ). Sightlines are generally good from any outdoor seating, though heavy crowds may gather near the stage during peak events. Some guests prefer the quieter table areas closer to the entrance or under cover (especially for families or slower-paced evenings) (www.opentable.com.mx ). In planning your visit, note that the venue is mostly flat and open, but on rainy nights Morse see the outdoor areas could get muddy, so umbrellas or covered seating might be needed.
Getting There and Parking
Cervecería Tulum is located off Federal Highway 307, at Km 230 (Carretera Cancún–Chetumal, Parque Tankah, Tulum 77789) (tulumcerveceriaartesanal.com ). This spot is about 5 minutes by car from downtown Tulum, in the jungle near the Jaguar Park nature reserve (tulumcerveceriaartesanal.com ) (www.opentable.com.mx ). If driving, travelers should watch for road signs near Tankah cenotes or Parque Jaguar. The venue provides a private parking lot for guests (www.opentable.com.mx ), so on-site parking is free and convenient. For those taking public transport, note that no bus goes directly to the venue. The nearest long-distance bus terminal is ADO Tulum (town center), about 5 km away (www.booking.com ). From ADO, one can catch a local taxi or colectivo (shared van) heading west on Highway 307 and ask to be let off at Km 230/Parque Jaguar. There is also a bus stop near the Tulum Ruins (2 km from Cervecería Tulum) (www.booking.com ) – a taxi from there to Km 230 takes only a few minutes. Rideshare services like Uber are scarce in jungle areas; most guests find it easiest to rent a car or hire a taxi. Cycling is another option: adventurous visitors often bike the 5 km from town (though it’s a hilly road). In any case, allow extra travel time at night, since the junction at Tankah can be dimly lit and no streetlights line this highway. The official address and GPS coordinates (Cancún–Chetumal Hwy KM 230) are available on mapping apps. Public transit is limited, so most tourists arrive by car or shuttle. Once on premises, parking is plentiful and marked “Private Lot” (www.opentable.com.mx ). Many visitors combine a trip here with nearby sights: the Tulum Archaeological Zone is about 3 km south (just past Downtown), and several cenotes are within short driving distance.
Inside the Venue
Upon entering Cervecería Tulum, guests pass through a garden courtyard with mansions of tiki torches and an open-air bar area. The atmosphere is vibrant during shows – expect tribal rhythms, performers with fire, and upbeat DJ music. Security checks at the entry are minimal; typically staff will verify reservations or tickets and may check ID (especially for special event nights). Inside, the restaurant bar offers full craft cocktails, mezcals and the on-site beer taps. Beer is a specialty here: the flagship brews (lagers brewed with sea water) are sold on draft and in 6-pack souvenirs. During dining shows, servers bring multiple courses (often a chef’s tasting menu) to your table. Portions are gourmet-sized and meant for savoring slowly. Reviewers note the food can be slightly pricey for the area (www.opentable.com.mx ), but uniquely uses local ingredients and sea water (for example, their grilled octopus or steak may be finished with mineral-rich saltwater) (tulumcerveceriaartesanal.com ). An indoor counter bar by the brewhouse offers stools for solo diners or taproom tastings during daytime hours (tulumcerveceriaartesanal.com ). The venue is dog-friendly (outdoor areas allow small pets) and wheelchair accessible (www.opentable.com.mx ). Restrooms are modern and located near the dining hall. Wi-Fi is often available for patrons, but mobile data tend to work well in the semi-open spaces. You should note that Cervecería Tulum’s business hours are long: it opens around 11:00 AM for lunch and stays open until 1:00 AM (tulumcerveceriaartesanal.com ), so you can arrive early for a late lunch or stay late for dessert. Coat check is generally not provided (the weather is warm), so shoppers should keep valuables in handed if needed. Merchandise like branded glassware or T-shirts may be sold at the bar or host desk – guests frequently buy extra souvenirs of the beer brand. For mobile phone users, coverage is decent; however, inside the jungle hall you may rely on facility Wi-Fi. Smoking is confined to an outdoor patio area (www.opentable.com.mx ). Overall, expect a relaxed but festive vibe with attentive table service during events, and more self-service (order at bar or tasting counter) during quiet daytime visits.
Nearby Amenities
Because Cervecería Tulum is somewhat removed from the pueblo, nearby amenities are limited to what the complex offers itself or what’s in Tulum town 5–10 minutes away. On the spot, Cervecería Tulum serves a full lunch and dinner menu, eliminating the need for pre-show restaurants. However, other dining options are within driving distance. Tulum’s downtown (“Tulum Centro”) has many casual taquerias and cafés (such as El Fogón, Taquería Honorio, and local seafood stands) where guests often eat before or after an event. If seeking upscale pre-event dining, consider Tulum’s beach clubs and jungle restaurants (Hartwood, Gitano, ARCA on the hotel strip); just note these are about 10–15 minutes’ drive from Cervecería Tulum. Fast-casual spots like burrito stands and pizza shops line the highways, but none match the brewery’s priced cuisine for fine dining. For evening drinks before or after a show, the area has few standalone bars; most guests head back to town (hits include Batey Mojito Bar in downtown for cocktails or La Luna for beachfront lounges). Transportation to these is by taxi or scooter, since no public bus circulates after dark. As for lodging, the standout option is the on-site boutique hotel/Wifi spa (Cervecería Tulum Hotel itself), which offers treehouse suites and on-property amenities (including multiple pools and a gym) (www.booking.com ). Adjacent is the “Kuunaa at Cerveceria Tulum” adults-only jungle resort with three pools and spa (www.booking.com ). Other nearby hotels include Xscape Tulum, Mi Amor, and Coqui Coqui, which are a short drive toward the beach. For late-night departures, remember that taxis can be arranged from the venue (ask the host desk) or by calling down from town; Ubers do not regularly circle this area at night. Overall, the adventures here are largely self-contained: vivid jungle parties with on-site food and drink. For anything else – grocery stores, pharmacies or eateries – a quick ride into Tulum Centro (or the beach zone) covers it. Car rental desks and main bus terminals are in central Tulum about 5 km away, so plan transportation accordingly. Finally, a practical tip: it’s wise to arrive at least 30 minutes early on arrival nights, as shopping or strolling the grounds (with its beer jacuzzis and museum displays) is encouraged (tulumcerveceriaartesanal.com ).
What Makes This Venue Special
Cervecería Tulum stands out for its immersive fusion of craft beer culture, jungle luxury, and Mayan mysticism. Architecturally, the space embraces the tropical environment – think rough-hewn wood beams, open-air patios under thatched roofs, turbine fans, and upcycled industrial steel from its brewery. Guests often remark on the dramatic “Big TULÚM” neon sign and the subterranean “Cenote Stage” – a real cenote framed by wooden decking for private ceremonies (www.opentable.com ). The statement piece is the beer spa concept: a couples’ Jacuzzi literally filled with lukewarm beer (hops, malt and all) that you bathe in while sipping unlimited craft lager and sparkling wine (cerveceriatulum.com ) (tulumbeerspa.com ). Few places in the world offer a “beer Jacuzzi” – this novelty is a core part of Cervecería Tulum’s identity and a major draw for honeymooners and wellness-seeking drinkers alike. Beyond experiences, there are cultural and environmental angles. The venue’s beer (“Cerveza Tulum”) is famous for using filtered Caribbean seawater and renewable energy in brewing – a concept begun in 2018 to protect local aquifers (cervezatulum.com ). This eco-conscious ethos extends through the site: solar panels power the lights and the waste water is fully treated on-site. Every guest booking supports the Gran Arrecife Maya Foundation, which funds coral reef conservation – a unique “beer-for-ocean” pledge (cerveceriatulum.com ). In terms of ambiance, Cervecería Tulum often incorporates Mayan mythology. For example, its spirit mascot is “A’AK the Turtle,” and full-moon events are held at the “UJ Moon Sanctuary” cenote where the beer is ceremonially blessed by moonlight (cerveceriatulum.com ) (cerveceriatulum.com ). These mystical touches – like holding fire-lit ceremonies by the jungle cenote – are rarely seen at other restaurants. The venue also host famous moments: many locals have celebrated birthdays, weddings or company milestones here, with stories of spontaneous fire dances around them. Celebrity chefs have collaborated on its menus, and travel awards have recognized it (it was a 2025 Tripadvisor Traveler’s Choice). Artists and influencers prize it for its photogenic features (the neon sign, jungle treehouses, flaming dance circle) – indeed, guides describe it as an “Instagram-worthy” stop on the food/beverage map (www.opentable.com.mx ) (www.opentable.com.mx ). In summary, Cervecería Tulum’s unique character comes from merging cutting-edge dining and entertainment with immersive jungle ambience, a pioneering beer resort ethos, and a pledge to local culture and nature. Whether it’s the first sip of seawater lager under the palms or joining a midnight fire ritual, both artists and audiences find the place memorable and distinct from any other venue.
Visitor Tips and Information
Cervecería Tulum is a luxury-but-casual venue, so plan to dress in upscale resort style. Lightweight fabrics and comfortable shoes are best (flats or low wedges instead of heels, since paths can be sandy). Evenings are warm and humid, so light layers or shawls are advisable if staying past midnight. Because it’s located in a wildlife preserve, insect repellent is recommended, especially during the rainy season. Bag size policies are not posted, but a small clutch or purse should be fine. Photography is permitted – indeed the staff encourages it (the big “TULÚM” sign is an official photo-op spot) (www.opentable.com.mx ) – but professional cameras or tripods should be discreet. Pets are allowed outdoors (the site is dog-friendly (www.opentable.com.mx )), but note that most events have lively music which may not suit nervous animals. For accessibility, the complex advertises wheelchair ramps and accessible restrooms (www.opentable.com.mx ), but some cobbled paths off the main garden might be a bit uneven. The restaurant buses only serve its own food and drinks, so no outside food or alcohol is permitted. Arrive with photo ID (all guests over 12 may be checked) (tulumcerveceriaartesanal.com ). Plan to get there at least 20–30 minutes early on show nights – not only to avoid lines but also to explore the brewery tour exhibit and impulse-photo areas (tulumcerveceriaartesanal.com ). If attending a dinner-show, the experience can last late (especially with performances), so schedule onward travel accordingly. Lastly, Alcohol is tropical-strength here: “low and slow” sampling is advisable. Overall, arrive prepared to enjoy a jungle party with an adventurous spirit – it’s not a quiet bar, but an all-in immersion. With sensible attire, ID and an open mind for ritual entertainment, visitors consistently rate it as a highlight of their Tulum trip (www.opentable.com.mx ) (www.opentable.com.mx ).

This can be done via their official website’s reservation system or by contacting their booking office (emails and WhatsApp contact are listed on-brand materials). On those occasions VIP packages are offered: for example, on New Year’s Eve a “Gold VIP” upgrade guaranteed a specific table in the best location facing the show (www.opentable.com.mx ). In short, unless you pay for a VIP upgrade, seating on event nights is unreserved. If you want the best view of performances, plan to arrive early to claim a good spot, or book a VIP table if available.
Are children allowed at Cervecería Tulum?
Yes, Cervecería Tulum is family-friendly, but note its child policy: children under 12 typically stay with their parents for free or at a children’s rate, but anyone over age 12 is charged as an adult (tulumcerveceriaartesanal.com ). The venue does not have an explicit “no kids” rule, and daytime dining is suitable for families. However, during late-night events with loud music and fire shows, younger children may find it intense. Identification (like a passport or keychain ID) may be requested for older minors, as part of the ticketing policy (tulumcerveceriaartesanal.com ).
Is Cervecería Tulum wheelchair accessible?
Yes, the venue is wheelchair accessible. According to their listing, Cervecería Tulum provides wheelchair access to dining areas and outdoor patios (www.opentable.com.mx ). As always, it’s best to call ahead if you plan to bring a pet to ensure space and tables.
What amenities are available at Cervecería Tulum?
Cervecería Tulum offers a variety of on-site amenities. Its restaurant kitchen serves lunch and dinner menus, including vegetarian/vegan options and gluten-free dishes. The bar offers a full selection of cocktails, mezcal, wine, and its own craft beers on tap (www.opentable.com.mx ). Free Wi-Fi is typically available in the common areas. There are multiple restrooms, coat storage is usually available during events, and merchandise (branded 6-packs, clothing, glassware) can be purchased. For additional relaxation, the connected “Beer Spa” offers beer-filled jacuzzis and massage services (bookable for couples) (cerveceriatulum.com ) (tulumbeerspa.com ). If you stay on-property, the boutique hotel provides amenities like swimming pools and a breakfast service (www.booking.com ). Finally, most guests report moderate noise levels inside during dining, and high-energy music outdoors at night. If you need medical or emergency services, staff can summon help from nearby clinics or Tulum’s main hospital (7 km away).
Do I need to arrive at a certain time?
Yes. Because Cervecería Tulum encourages exploring the grounds, it’s recommended to arrive at least 15–30 minutes before a scheduled event or dinner show. This lets you stroll through the jungle gardens, use the photogenic “Tulum” sign, and even take a brief brewery tour if available (tulumcerveceriaartesanal.com ). For large events (like concerts or VIP dinners), early arrival ensures better seating (especially if you have general-admission tickets). The restaurant opens at 11:00 AM, so if you only have a daytime reservation, arriving a few minutes early is advisable. Late arrivals on big nights can mean walking or waiting until a table frees up, so plan accordingly.
What is the “Beer Spa” experience at Cervecería Tulum?
The Beer Spa is a signature amenity of Cervecería Tulum. It typically means a private Jacuzzi bathtub filled with beer (water plus hops and malt), where couples can soak while drinking craft beers and sparkling wine (tulumbeerspa.com ). It’s promoted as a luxury romantic treatment – the site refers to it as a “beer Jacuzzi for couples” with unlimited artisanal beers and bubbly (tulumbeerspa.com ). The spa session is booked separately from the restaurant, and it comes with towels, soaps, and complimentary drinks. Therapists will guide you through tasting the brews and explain the skin benefits of beer (anti-inflammatory hops, B vitamins, etc.). This experience is entirely optional but unique to Cervecería Tulum (hence its “Beer Spa” name (cerveceriatulum.com ) (tulumbeerspa.com )).
Are guided brewery tours or beer tastings offered?
Yes. Visitors can join guided brewery tours and tasting sessions on site. The venue advertises a “Tasting & Brewery Tour,” where you walk through the brewing facility at Jaguar Park, learn about their seawater beer recipe, and sample fresh beer right out of the tank (tulumbrewerytour.com ). They also offer a “Beer School” experience where guests create their own small-batch brew, and a chef’s beer-tasting menu in the Tap Room (tulumbrewerytour.com ) (tulumbrewerytour.com ). You usually need to book these experiences in advance via their reservation portal or on-site bar. The beer tasting menus highlight unique lagers and pairings, making it an educational complement to the dinner shows.
What are some noise and atmosphere tips for visitors?
Cervecería Tulum has a lively, festive atmosphere, especially in the evenings. Expect moderate to loud electronic/Afro-house music during dinner shows and full-party events. The indoor dining hall has moderate noise when full, while outdoor areas with DJs can be quite loud. If you seek a quieter experience, plan to come for a late lunch (when it’s relatively calm) or sit under the patio areas away from speakers. Visitors recommend bringing ear plugs if you are sensitive to sound. The staff does manage the volume (they’re used to multi-course dinners with spoken word segments), but the final hours can get energetic. Also, insect sounds are common in the garden – during rainy season you may hear rain on the palapas or jungle insects. Overall, it’s a high-energy vibe after dark, which many guests enjoy as part of the “jungle rave” character of the venue (www.opentable.com.mx ) (www.opentable.com.mx ).
Does Cervecería Tulum have capacity limits or weather policies?
The venue’s official capacity for large events is up to 5,000 people (www.opentable.com ). For everyday dining, the restaurant seats a few hundred guests across all indoor and outdoor areas. Since much of the space is open-air, events proceed rain or shine (the Jungle Venue stage has a partial roof). If weather is severe (e.g. a heavy storm), staff may move elements under cover or reschedule, but this is rare in Tulum’s typically mild climate. There is no formal “rain backup” area beyond what is already roofed. In practice, light showers rarely stop performances, and they continue until the last course is served. If you have concerns, the venue’s contact can advise if your date is weather-affected, but generally you should plan on flexible tropical weather (sunny or rainy evenings alike).
What transportation or parking tips should I know?
Car rental or taxi is recommended, as public transit to the jungle site is limited. If driving, come early to find a good spot in the free parking lot. The road can get dark and winding after sunset, so drive carefully on Highway 307. Note that rideshare apps are not always reliable here – arrange a return taxi or shuttle with the venue if you plan to stay late. If you stay in playa or downtown, have your hotel arrange a cab, or catch a colectivo on the highway toward Cancun (tell the driver “Parque Jaguar”). As a safety note, never drink and drive – use taxis if you plan to drink. Inside, parking is ample; just park in the marked lot. Do not trespass on neighboring cenote or hotel parking, as fines can apply (www.opentable.com.mx ).
