It’s common for artists to branch out from music, and some, like Rihanna and Selena Gomez, have been very successful in doing so. Similarly, many artists are tapped to feature in ad campaigns, collaborate, perform at exhibitions, and become the faces of the brands too. People often associate these brands with artists such as Justin Bieber with Calvin Klein, Dua Lipa with Versace, Beyoncé with Tiffany & Co., and more!
From Rihanna to J-Hope, we take a look at artists that have featured in Louis Vuitton campaigns or have been appointed as house ambassadors.
Pharrell Williams
The multi-hyphenated musician Pharrell Williams was appointed as the creative director of Louis Vuitton menswear earlier this year. He became the second black man to hold a head position at Louis Vuitton; the first was the late fashion designer Virgil Abloh. “I’m a Black man — they have given this appointment to a Black man. This is the crown jewel of the LVMH portfolio,” Pharrell said. “It’s everything, and I was appointed to rule in this position. So No. 1, a ruler of a position is usually like a king. But a ruler of this position for me is a perpetual student. It’s what I intend to be.”

Superstar Rihanna starred in the ad for Williams’ first-ever campaign as the menswear creative director of the French luxury fashion house. She wore a leather button-up, with her baby bump on full display as she left much of the trench unbuttoned. The ‘Needed Me’ singer stuns in colorful LV bags on her arms and black trousers, completing the look with necklaces and ear cuffs. She also holds a coffee cup in one hand.
J-Hope
J-Hope was announced as Louis Vuitton’s ambassador this February. His first campaign saw him get photographed with the luxury house’s Keepall bag. “He is beloved by fans across the world for his upbeat energy, precise choreography and creative musical direction,” Louis Vuitton said in a statement. “With a positive on-and-off-stage presence, J-Hope continues to push artistic boundaries and inspire international audiences.”

21 Savage
21 Savage was tapped to appear in the Men’s summer capsule collection for Louis Vuitton last year. The collection featured Japanese denim, pastel suits, leather jackets, sneakers, Hawaiian shirts, hoodies, jewelry, crewnecks and much more inspired by the Venice beach, art, California and the skate scene.
“Conveying a sense of the infinite—a recurrent theme in Virgil Abloh’s collections—this wardrobe is embodied and highlighted by the American rapper 21 Savage’s casual energy and is a reference to West Coast skaters and artists,” Complex wrote, according to a press release. The Atlanta-based rapper also performed at the Louis Vuitton and Nike “Air Force 1” by Virgil Abloh Exhibition opening.
