DropBassNZ Present: Spy Technologies 8 : Album Release

Feat:

DYNAMIX // DSCI4

KILJOY // Function Records

Support : 48 Sonic // Reubix

Friday 4th June @ Pointers

In 2002, DSCI4 released Spy Technologies. The highly acclaimed compilation was regarded by many as a milestone in Neurofunk. Now in 2021, and in its eighth series, the label continues to innovate. Part 8 features another top draw selection of international Techstep ninjas with tracks that cut deep.

DYNAMIX (representing for DSCI4) shook the D&B world with his debut "First Contact EP" on DJ Trace's DSCI4 imprint in 2020. Turning heads as unknown he landed in the Top 10 releases on Beatport hitting number 6 against established names. D&B Arena premiered his track "Cold Heat", labelling him a "beat-smith"; the track is a brutal stepper. In:reach UK interviewed him ahead of his release premiering "XPeriment" and a guest mix. It was from this mix where fans started asking about one of Dynamix's dubs; the track is forthcoming on the Spy Technologies 8 LP. The track "Murderation", a grimey techy roller that will murder the dance floor!

Teaming up with NZ D&B legend KILJOY (Evan Short once from the infamous CONCORD DAWN duo) who will be flying the flag representing for Digital's Function Records imprint. Kiljoy is a weapon. He made waves with heads in the scene when he flipped Digital's "Waterhouse Dub" with a Remix that hits where it counts. Kiljoy has a new project forthcoming on Function Records; "Kiat & Kiljoy - Enki EP" due out late May/early June.
