Doing Nothing Together | Rest, Respite, and Resisting Urgency

This is an anonymous, drop-in weekly gathering by teleconference produced by Doing Nothing Together, a service focused on rest, respite and resisting urgency. Doing Nothing Together is a simple communal activity that is exacltly what it sounds like: a container for practicing doing nothing at all for 20 minutes, once a week, in the company of others committed to doing the same. I began this practice in 2020 because though I really wanted to make space for true pause in my life, I found myself never actually getting around to doing nothing until I started making appointments to do it with other people.
