Another Drum & Bass Problem ft. Captain Bli, Souldefunk, Cypher

On Saturday 07 October, we've got Another Got a Drum & Bass Problem in the back room at Rain dogs. This will be a fun night of jungle and drum & bass featuring special guest deejays from north and central Florida along with an art showcase by a handful of local creators. Brought to you by the team of Invasive Ceremonies, Moving Futures Music, and JaxDnB.

Music provided by:

  • Captain Bli (Orbit, Gainesville)
  • Souldefunk (Orlando)
  • Cypher (Jacksonville)
  • Plus hosts Nathan Bradley, XMSN, Reflections

Keeping with the status quo of uniting heads from around the state, we welcome guest headliner from Gainesville and the host and curator of the weekly event called Orbit, the one and only Cpt. Bli. Joining him will be another guest from Orlando and a frequent flyer of the Modul events, none other than Souldefunk. We're also happy to have one of our Jacksonville locals on support for this amazing combo, longtime supporter and JaxDnB deejay Cypher.

Art showcase by:

  • Taul Waters
  • More TBA

Per usual we also welcome some of our visual artist friends to show off their work and enhance the vibes of the evening. We are delighted to welcome our good friend and OG Taul Waters a.k.a. Mech Directive for his first art showing at one of our events. His visionary art concepts are rooted in the underground graffiti styles of the late 90's and early 2000's, and often incorporate sci-fi and dystopian themes. Other artists for the showcase will be added in the near future.

Location and times

Captain Bli

One of the OG junglists of Florida, he was a resident DJ at the infamous, old school Simons and Frolik/Soulhouse DNB weekly in the 90s/00s. After taking a break from the scene to focus on family, he fiercely returned to DNB with the vibey Visionary Fam in 2016. Currently, he is holding down residency at the ORBIT weekly in Gainesville.

The Captain has deejayed alongside a slew of top-tier DNB DJs, including Grooverider, LTJ Bukem, J Majik, John B, Dieselboy, Dara, DB, AK1200, Pish Posh, L Double, Ray Keith, Stakka & Skynet, Klute, Danny the Wildchild, Phantom 45, Panacea, DJ Swamp, DJ Craze, Future Cut, and more. A lover of multiple styles of DNB with a focus on moving the dancefloor, be prepared to nod your head or shake your booty.
