Events and Tickets: Current Status

House of X is permanently closed and has no events or tickets on sale as of August 24, 2026. The House of Yes-operated nightlife concept occupied the basement performance space at PUBLIC Hotel from November 2021 until July 2022. The room continues to host nightlife, but it now trades as ARTSPACE rather than House of X. Current hotel programming includes recurring electronic-music parties such as Off the Record, Risqué, Mirari and Tuesday Baby Tuesday, alongside Live Sounds sessions elsewhere in the building. These are successor events, not House of X productions.

No House of X program has been announced for 2026 or beyond. Concert databases displaying the old name should be treated as archival or outdated, especially when they show no upcoming performances. Anyone seeing a new listing attributed to House of X should confirm that it is not actually an ARTSPACE event at the same 215 Chrystie Street address.

Past Events and Programming

House of X officially opened on November 19 and 20, 2021, following previews and a soft-opening period that included Halloween and New York nightlife gatherings. Its original weekly anchors were Le Freak on Fridays and Fuck Yes on Saturdays. The formula combined house, disco and global electronic music with aerialists, burlesque, drag, go-go dancing, circus performers, theatrical characters and interactive installations. Notable spring and summer programs included Tropical Edition with a salsa lesson and performers connected to West Side Story and In the Heights; Uhuru with DJEFF; PULSAR editions featuring Danny Daze, Philipp Jung, Concret and Iñigo Vontier; Glow in the X; Pink Mammoth with Atish; Dancing Room Only with Tony Humphries and Rissa Garcia; Palosanto with Sébastien Léger; DONNA; and Le Freak with DJ Spinna.

House of X was not exclusively a late-night dance club. Exhibitionist presented work by emerging visual artists with performances, projections, installations and tarot readings. The Vashti Ball offered a queer communal Purim celebration, while the Future Fair closing party connected the room with New York’s independent art-fair scene. A closure notice circulated on July 13, 2022, describing that week as the final run. About House of X

House of X was the first permanent Manhattan outpost created by the House of Yes team. Founders Anya Sapozhnikova, Kae Burke, Ilan Telmont and Justin Ahiyon developed it with hotelier Ian Schrager as a more polished counterpart to their Brooklyn venue. It occupied the former Public Arts basement inside PUBLIC Hotel at 215 Chrystie Street, between East Houston and Stanton Streets.

Architecture, Design and Production
