Welcome the second weekend of 2023 in New Zealand with chill vibes and incredible live music at Summer In Taranaki! Slated to be held on January 13, the mini-music festival will take place at Butlers Reef, Ōakura. The line-up boasts award-winning singer/songwriter/producer MC Tiki Taane, four-piece alt/indie band Daffodils, pop group Skram, and many more! Summer In Taranaki kicks off at 2 PM, with passes powered by The Ticket Fairy!
Tiki Taane, one of New Zealand’s pioneers of the drum & bass scene, will headline the Summer in Taranaki at the popular restaurant and event venue Butlers Reef, joined by a slew of Kiwi artists!
SKRAM; a five-piece pop group from Wellington, Daffodils; an Auckland-based four-piece indie band; Taranaki-based soul crew Fin Rah Zel; Trip Change, whose music combines soul, jazz, reggae, and rock; and Kiwi pop singer Laura round out the line-up for the day!
Attendees can catch singer-songwriter Laura, who released the pop-rock single ‘Safety in Numbers’ in early 2022. The single received over fifty thousand streams online and was later remixed by producer Graeme Woller. Fin Rah Zel will also make their presence felt with their upbeat, soulful melodies and riffs.
Hometown heroes Trip Change will lead audience members on a fascinating trip through deep soundscapes. Trip Change’s most popular streamed tracks include ‘I Know Many Things,’ ‘Never seen a boy (like me),’ ‘Embrace,’ and ‘Hear Me.’ They released a nine-track album titled ‘Lies & Lullabies’ in 2022.
