Returning to the lush grounds of Matakana Country Park, north of Auckland, is the hallowed EDM showcase that is Hidden Valley Festival. The ninth installment of the festival was announced on March 7, 2023. The early bird tickets arrived the following month and, to no surprise, sold out instantly! The organizers and promoters are stringing together all resources to pool in more music, talent, and entertainment to ensure the festival is bigger and better than previous installments.
At the time of writing, no official line-up had been revealed, but the internet is buzzing with speculation about which acts might be performing on stage. Producer/DJ and multi-instrumentalist Fred Again is one of the names called upon in the comments section. The 2022 edition saw Chase & Status, Dom Dolla, Kanine, Skream, PARTIBOI69, and duo Prospa dominate the day! The Boiler Room deck also made its way to Hidden Valley 2022, spewing out a stage takeover featuring electronic artists Nice Girl, Aroha, Bavhu, and Halfqueen!

Matakana Country Park, Matakana, is a massive fifty-acre space that hosts a wide range of activities. It serves as a venue for miniature train rides, adventure playgrounds, horse carriage rides, a local homegrown marketplace and events, and a premier festival venue. It is the staple venue of the Hidden Valley Festival and also hosted the Summer Haze 2022 festival, featuring bands Shapeshifter and Fat Freddy’s Drop.
