UK-based duo Fade Black is heading to New Zealand this month! Event planners Sub180 and Oh9nine Promotions have tapped the drum & bass pair for Day to Night at The Elephant Wrestler in Auckland on Saturday, June 17, 2023. Kiwi artist Fairbrother has been recruited as a special guest, along with DC, Gazz, Sammy, and Kenzo on the line-up. Tickets for Day To Night are brought to you by The Ticket Fairy.
“Sub180 & Oh9ine are fizzing to be bringing over the Fade Black (UK) lads for their long awaited NZ debut? With special guest Fairbrother & a stacked local lineup, this is a day to night doof you won’t want to be missing,” said Oh9ine Promotions and Sub180 while announcing the first Day to Night show.
Fade Black has had releases on the renowned British independent record label Critical Music. The duo have also been co-hosts on ‘Gold Top’s’ Radio show. Earlier this year, they displayed their remixing skills with a remix of Dutch electronic music trio Noisia’s ‘Get Dreaded.’ Fade Black’s appearance at Day To Night comes as part of their five-city tour in New Zealand. The Elephant Wrestler in Auckland is their second stop of the tour.
Fairbrother, who was recently on the Jim Beam Homegrown roster, will be playing a liquid set as a special guest at this gig. Also, enjoy a b2b set from DC and Gazz. “Me and @dc.dnb chucking heat on the 17th of June. Cheers @oh9inepromotions & @sub180nz for getting us on,” Gazz shared on Instagram.

Drum & bass DJ Celliers will be on support duties at Day To Night next weekend, with Sammy W and Kenzo playing a b2b set. “This is not one you’ll wanna miss… ??Super excited to be jumping on support for @fadeblackuk next month alongside my gal @sammyw_music and some local legends!!” Kenzo announced on social media, while Sammy W said: “Day partay incoming ? excited to be back on the tools with my home slice @kenzo_nzl with a stupidly stacked line up!!”
Supporting acts DREYDNB b2b ethwnn, and DJ Ashh round out this phenomenal line-up are slated at The Elephant Wrestler on June 17. This gig will run from 3 PM to late night.
