Announced all the way back in July 2023, SD Union Day Dream is back for yet another smashing edition, armed with sound fueled by Bomb Shelta Sound Systems. Attendees can look forward to an evening spiked with UK garage, jungle, and oodles of drum & bass as UK DnB phenomenon Harriet Jaxxon makes her San Diego debut at SD Union. Closer to home, multi-genre DJ Reid Speed from Los Angeles, who dabbles and weaves her performances through dubstep, drum & bass, trap, and electro, is also announced as one of the headlining acts.
Commencing midday onwards, SD Union Day Dream will also see the likes of duo Zere and Gabriel Habit aka Knowmans, San Diego-based artist ADMRL, techno and tech house connoisseur JoshTheBear, and bass head Nix grace the stage. Acts Rit Locus, JS2 (Julia Daemia and Jason Deyarmin), DJ Wolf, and Aaron Schafer aka Knotice round out the stacked artist card.
Knotice expressed his excitement with us for his performance at SD Union, saying, “Day Dream series is one of my favorite events from United By Bass/SD Union. The Hole in the Wall is a great spot, known for its welcoming and attentive staff, and the “tropical” patio definitely adds to the jungle vibes. I’m thrilled and excited to be a part of this experience alongside some of the best talent in San Diego. See you on the dancefloor!”
Rio Cabrera, best known as ADMRL, dropped a few hints about his set at SD Union Day Dream, saying, “I am super excited for this one. Really looking forward to debuting a bunch of my new music and sharing the stage with an all-star lineup of friends and supporting talent. Day Dream is San Diego’s favorite day party and the vibes are always high, Can’t wait!”
We also heard from Los Angeles-based DnB/jungle pair Knowmans, who shared with us, “SD Union and the UBB team have always thrown extraordinary events that we’ve been privileged to both attend and perform at. San Diego has a really great scene and we’re looking forward to reconnecting with our friends, including DJ Wolf and ADMRL, who will both be playing the event as well. We just dropped a new tune on UBB’s label, so we’re excited to showcase that alongside other new productions we’ve been working on!”
The Hole In The Wall, nestled at 2820 Lytton Street in San Diego, is a 300-capacity nightlife haven bragging karaoke sessions, beer pong tournaments, a bevy of craft brews, DJ sets, live music, and more. This location was once known as the 19th Hole owing to its proximity to the Sail Ho Golf Club (now the Loma Club), a four-minute walk away. SD Union has previously helmed concerts here, featuring some of the hottest DnB producers, including Bachelors of Science, Collette Warren & Ben Soundscape, Polaris, and LTJ Bukem.
