Mumbai-based singer-songwriter and composer Niyati Handa follows up ‘For You’ with her latest outing, ‘Lost In You,’ a velvety deep house and indie pop feel-good tune.
When we last spoke with Niyati Handa, the artist mentioned she adored working on experimental tracks. Now, come September 2023, the songwriter has indeed delivered! This time out, her latest release features the production prowess of producer, guitarist, and composer Vaibhav Pani. The Hindi-worded single opens out with delicate melodic relays, rolling in rhythmic bass trenches layered with Handa’s steady vocal tempo.
Through this release, Niyati calls for listeners to invoke those special moments with their first love in their hearts and minds. “Lost In You is a song about first love,” says Niyati, who notes the “jitters and butterflies” that love, a frenzied cluster of emotions, reels in. “Your first love is always alive; you feel like dancing and don’t want it to go away.”
Prior to her latest single, Niyati teamed up with multi-genre DJ/producer AFTERAll on dancehall and afro-pop track, ‘For You.’
