Events and Programming

Budda Polanco is a small, late-night club focused on DJs rather than seated concerts or conventional live-band performances. Published descriptions identify house, techno, future house, minimal, progressive and tech house as its core styles. Event listings also describe broader dance and Latin-influenced club programming, so the exact sound depends on the promoter and guest artist booked for a particular night.

The publicly verifiable event history is limited, but it does show that Budda has been used for both local nightlife and specialist electronic bookings. The clearest documented event was David Gtronic’s birthday set on July 23, 2022, presented by DimiBowie and Eternal Sound. The bill included George Miranda, Delaluz A., Chicago DJ Beaux, and a Camila Beltran B2B Kila Decks set. The event began at 10:00 p.m., admitted guests aged 18 and over, and listed a ticket at MX$440 including fees. ticketfairy.com

An artist biography published in 2025 also records the Mexico City DJ Macias as having performed at Budda in Polanco. The biography does not provide a date or complete lineup, but it places the club within a circuit that includes afro house, tech house, progressive house and other DJ-led nightlife venues.

2021: No Budda Polanco performance from this year could be confirmed in publicly indexed event records.
2022: David Gtronic’s Vatos Locos birthday set is the best-documented event, with several supporting DJs.
2023: No additional performance could be independently verified, although the venue was the site of a serious fire in July.
2024: No dated Budda Polanco performance was found in the indexed sources reviewed.
2025: Macias’s artist biography confirms a Budda Polanco appearance, without specifying the night.
2026 and beyond: As of September 1, 2026, no dated 2026 or later Budda Polanco announcement could be verified from public indexed sources.

A local venue directory lists Thursday, Friday and Saturday operating hours from approximately 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., with other nights opening when an event is scheduled. That pattern fits the club’s programming: late arrivals, weekend DJ sets, themed parties and occasional private bookings rather than daytime concerts.

Tickets and Booking

Budda Polanco ticket prices vary with the artist, promoter, date and whether the event is a standard club night or a special guest-DJ booking. The documented David Gtronic event provides a useful historical reference at MX$440 including fees, while the venue directory states that the cover changes according to the talent booked. Treat both figures as guidance rather than a current price promise.

For a listed event, buy in advance whenever a ticket option is available. Popular guest DJs and collaborative parties can have limited capacity because the venue is described as holding approximately 200 people. Door entry may be possible on some nights, but it should not be assumed when a ticketed event is promoted in advance. Check the event listing for its own door time, age restriction and ticket tier.

Budda also operates as a table-service nightlife venue. A local listing reports bottle packages beginning at approximately MX$1,800 and an average check of around MX$700, although these figures may change with brand, night and package. Reservations are particularly relevant for groups, private celebrations and guests who want lounge or table space rather than standing on the main floor.

There is no publicly documented permanent box office schedule or general presale calendar. Booking information appears to be released event by event, usually through the promoter or the venue’s current event channels. For a last-minute visit, confirm that the event is taking place, that tickets remain available and that the door will accept walk-ins.

About Budda Polanco

Budda Polanco is an intimate electronic-music nightclub in the Miguel Hidalgo area of Mexico City. Although it is commonly marketed as a Polanco venue, its published address is Tolstoi 6 in Colonia Anzures, postal code 11590. That distinction matters when arranging transportation because the club is closer to the Anzures and Mariano Escobedo side of the district than to the central Polanco shopping streets.

The only published capacity figure found is an approximate 200-person aforo. No official capacity certificate, architectural plan or event-by-event maximum was located, so 200 should be treated as a directory estimate rather than a guaranteed legal capacity. There is no public evidence that the venue has a large concert stage, arena-style seating or multiple auditoriums.

Budda appears to have emerged as a distinct nightlife concept around 2022, when its first clearly documented ticketed event took place. A complete opening announcement, founding ownership history and uninterrupted chronology from opening to the present could not be verified. Public address records also show other businesses associated with Tolstoi 6 at different times, including the former Escaparate cantabar and a Gran Café Victoria location, so those businesses should not be presented as confirmed phases of Budda’s own history.

Budda should also not be confused with the former Buddha Bar restaurant on Presidente Masaryk 433. That older venue had an Asian-inspired restaurant and lounge identity and was later listed as closed; it is a separate business from the Budda nightclub at Tolstoi 6.

Seating and Layout

Budda is primarily a standing-room club. Public venue descriptions do not show a fixed seating chart, numbered seats or theater-style rows. The main experience is the dance floor, with limited lounge seating, bar stools or reserved high-top areas around the perimeter. Reserved tables and bottle-service sections may be available, but their exact position and minimum spend can change by event. ticketfairy.com

For the strongest DJ connection, stand near the front or central dance-floor area, while the perimeter is more practical for conversation and access to drinks. Guests seeking a less crowded view should arrive before the late-night peak and ask staff where reserved areas are located. Since no official acoustic plan or speaker layout is published, sightlines and sound balance may change with the night’s production setup.

No verified dimensions, ceiling height, floor plan, stage measurements or alternate seating configurations were found. This is not a venue where visitors should expect the predictable sightlines of a theater or concert hall.

Getting There and Parking

The published address is Tolstoi 6, Colonia Anzures, Alcaldía Miguel Hidalgo, Ciudad de México, C.P. 11590. Because the venue uses the Polanco name while the address is in Anzures, enter the full street address when arranging a ride rather than searching only for “Polanco.”

The most precise public-transit reference is the Tolstoi stop on Trolebús Line 6, whose route runs along Mariano Escobedo and lists a stop at the Mariano Escobedo–Tolstoi intersection. From there, follow Tolstoi to number 6. This is likely the simplest transit connection for the final approach.

Metro Line 7 is another practical option. Auditorio is commonly identified as the closest Metro station to the Anzures area, at roughly a 15-minute walk depending on the exact route. Metro Polanco is also useful for reaching the broader Polanco district, but it is not necessarily the closest station to the venue’s Anzures address.

Rideshare and taxis can approach the venue on Tolstoi. There is no publicly identified formal rideshare bay, so ask to be dropped off close to the entrance without blocking residential or commercial access. On busy nights, a nearby corner may be easier and safer than stopping directly in front of the door.

A local venue listing reports valet parking on Tolstoi at approximately MX$70. Because the listing does not provide an independently verified current tariff, treat that amount as a historical reference and confirm the charge before handing over the vehicle. No large dedicated Budda parking lot or guaranteed overnight parking facility has been publicly documented.

Inside the Venue

Expect a late-night nightclub entry rather than concert-hall admission. The documented event listing used an 18-and-over restriction, and guests should carry a valid government-issued photo ID. Event-specific rules may apply, particularly for private parties, guest lists and special bookings. ticketfairy.com

The venue directory describes an LED-heavy interior designed to keep the room visually active while the DJ controls the atmosphere. It identifies Budda’s style as electronic and says the club’s programming runs through several house and techno variations. No manufacturer, model or technical specification for the sound system or lighting rig is publicly available.

Bar service and bottle packages are part of the reported operating model. The public descriptions do not provide a reliable menu, food schedule, restroom map, coat-check policy, Wi-Fi details or merchandise information, so these should be treated as event-dependent rather than guaranteed amenities.

There was a fire at the venue on July 1, 2023. Local reporting said the blaze was controlled and that two people were injured, one while attempting to escape and another through smoke inhalation. Reports attributed the fire to a spark or bottle-service bengala near dried plant decoration, although the publicly available coverage does not establish a complete official investigation record.

Nearby Amenities

Budda’s location places it between the nightlife, dining and hotel corridors of Anzures and Polanco. Visitors can plan dinner or drinks before the club in the wider Polanco area, but late-night restaurant hours vary considerably. Arriving around 10:30 or 11:00 p.m. leaves time to find the entrance, handle security and avoid the busiest arrival period.

For guests staying nearby, walking from Anzures or the northern edge of Polanco may be practical, but the area changes character late at night. Use well-lit routes, stay with your group and arrange the return trip before the Metro closes. The Metro is not a dependable way home after a 5:00 a.m. closing time; taxis or rideshare are more realistic for the journey back.

No Budda-specific hotel partnership, post-event venue or official late-night shuttle has been publicly documented. Nearby restaurants, bars and hotels should therefore be treated as neighborhood options rather than facilities operated by the club.

What Makes This Venue Special

Budda’s main distinction is its scale and focus. It is considerably more intimate than Mexico City’s major concert venues, allowing a guest DJ or specialist electronic promoter to work a compact room rather than a large auditorium. The approximate 200-person capacity creates a closer club atmosphere, while the LED-oriented interior supports the visual rhythm expected from house and techno programming.

The David Gtronic booking shows that Budda can attract international or out-of-town electronic talent while also giving the bill to local selectors and back-to-back sets. That mix is typical of a club scene built around promoters, collectives and guest DJs rather than a single resident band or touring concert format. ticketfairy.com

Its cultural role should not be overstated. No official economic-impact study, attendance report or community arts assessment specific to Budda Polanco was found. It is reasonable to infer that a late-night club of this size supports nightlife employment and contributes some spending to nearby transportation, restaurants, parking and hospitality businesses, but the scale of that impact has not been quantified publicly.

The venue’s 2023 fire is also part of its public story. It is a reminder that visitors should pay attention to exits, crowd movement and staff instructions in any nightclub, especially where bottle-service effects, decorative materials and low light are part of the atmosphere.

Visitor Tips and Information

Dress more formally than you might for a casual bar. The local venue guide recommends a semiformal or polished nightlife look and warns that shoes, ripped clothing and overall presentation may affect entry. A collared shirt, clean closed-toe shoes or a smart evening outfit is the safer choice than athletic wear, beachwear or heavily distressed denim.

Bring government-issued photo ID, a charged phone, and only the essentials. Large backpacks, outside drinks and bulky items are sensible things to avoid, even though a complete published bag policy was not found. Do not assume professional cameras, large recording equipment or special effects are allowed without prior approval.

Accessibility information is not clearly published. No verifiable details were found regarding a step-free entrance, wheelchair seating, accessible restrooms, an elevator, sign-language interpretation, sensory accommodations or a formal accessibility policy. Visitors who need step-free access or an adapted restroom should confirm the physical arrangement before buying a ticket.

There is no publicly verified general dress code, photography policy, coat-check rule or door-time standard that applies to every event. Promoters can set different conditions. Read the individual event information carefully, arrive early if you need assistance, and do not rely on a previous visit as proof that the same rules will apply.

Budda is best suited to visitors who want a late-night DJ club with dancing, table service and a compact crowd. It is less suitable for anyone expecting quiet conversation, assigned seats, a live-band concert, a published technical rider or a guaranteed accessibility setup.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Budda Polanco actually in Polanco?

Budda Polanco is marketed with the Polanco name, but its published address is Tolstoi 6 in Colonia Anzures, within the Miguel Hidalgo borough. The distinction is useful for navigation because the venue is near Mariano Escobedo and the Anzures side of the district. When using a taxi or rideshare, provide the full street address rather than relying only on “Polanco.”

What is the earliest confirmed Budda Polanco event?

The earliest clearly documented Budda Polanco event located in the public record was David Gtronic’s Vatos Locos birthday set on July 23, 2022. The bill also included George Miranda, Delaluz A., Beaux, and Camila Beltran B2B Kila Decks. The event began at 10:00 p.m. and was listed for guests aged 18 and over. ticketfairy.com

What kind of music does Budda Polanco play?

Public descriptions emphasize house, techno, future house, minimal, progressive and tech house. Some event listings characterize the programming more broadly as electronic dance music with Latin-influenced club selections. The exact sound depends on the promoter and guest DJ, but Budda is primarily a dance-floor venue rather than a rock, acoustic or singer-songwriter room.

Does Budda Polanco host live bands?

The verified descriptions present Budda as a DJ-led nightclub. The documented David Gtronic event used multiple DJs and back-to-back sets, and the venue’s regular concept is built around electronic music. No reliable evidence was found of a recurring live-band program, seated concerts or a standard calendar of acoustic performances, so visitors should expect mixed DJ sets rather than a band show. ticketfairy.com

Are there Budda Polanco events announced for 2026?

As of September 1, 2026, no dated 2026 or later Budda Polanco event could be verified in the publicly indexed sources reviewed. That does not prove that private, last-minute or poorly indexed promotions do not exist. It means visitors should rely on the current event listing for the specific night rather than assuming that a general weekly schedule guarantees a show.

How much are Budda Polanco tickets?

Prices vary by event and artist. One documented 2022 guest-DJ booking listed admission at MX$440 including fees, while the venue directory says the cover changes according to the night’s talent. Current prices may be higher or lower. Treat the historical MX$440 figure as a reference point, not as a standing admission price.

Can I buy tickets at the door?

Door sales are event-dependent. Some nightlife parties may accept walk-ins if space remains, while ticketed guest-DJ bookings can have limited capacity or advance-only pricing. If the event listing provides a ticket option, purchasing ahead is the safer approach. Visitors should also check whether the night requires a guest list, reservation, minimum spend or separate table booking.

Does Budda Polanco offer table service?

Yes, public venue information describes bottle service, packages and reserved tables as part of the club’s operating model. A local listing reports bottles from approximately MX$1,800 and an average check around MX$700, but those figures can vary by brand, event and group size. Confirm the current minimum spend and what the package includes before reserving.

Does Budda Polanco have assigned seating?

No fixed seating chart has been published. Public descriptions characterize the room as primarily standing, with limited lounge seating, bar stools or reserved high-top areas. Table areas may be available through reservations, but ordinary event admission should be treated as standing-room access. If you need a seat for medical or mobility reasons, confirm the arrangement before attending. ticketfairy.com

What is Budda Polanco’s capacity?

The only public figure located is an approximate capacity of 200 people. It comes from a local venue directory rather than a published official capacity certificate. The actual permitted maximum may change with furniture, production equipment, table layouts or event regulations. Use 200 as a rough indication of scale, not as a guaranteed count for every show.

Is Budda Polanco 18 and over?

The documented David Gtronic event was explicitly listed as ages 18 and over, and another venue listing describes Budda as an adult nightclub. Bring valid government-issued photo identification. Because promoters can establish event-specific conditions, check the age rule attached to the particular night. Do not assume that a guest list or table reservation overrides an age requirement. ticketfairy.com

What should I wear to Budda Polanco?

A polished, semiformal nightlife outfit is the safest choice. The local venue guide warns that ripped clothing and casual footwear may create entry problems, particularly for men wearing sneakers or distressed pants. Avoid gym clothes, beachwear and heavily torn denim. Dress standards can be subjective at the door, so a neat shirt, smart shoes and a well-presented outfit reduce risk.

What is the nearest Metro station?

Metro Auditorio on Line 7 is commonly identified as the closest Metro station to the Anzures area, with an approximate 15-minute walk depending on the route. Metro Polanco can also serve visitors approaching from the wider Polanco district, but it is not necessarily the closest station to Tolstoi 6. Allow extra time for the walk and late-night street conditions.

Is there a Trolebús stop near Budda Polanco?

Trolebús Line 6 lists a Tolstoi stop at the intersection of Mariano Escobedo and Tolstoi. From that stop, visitors can follow Tolstoi to number 6. This is one of the most precise publicly documented transit references for the venue because it names the street intersection rather than only the broader Polanco or Anzures neighborhood.

Does Budda Polanco have parking?

A local venue listing reports valet parking on Tolstoi for approximately MX$70. Because the listing does not provide a current official tariff, confirm the price before using the service. No large dedicated parking lot has been publicly documented. Street spaces and nearby garages may be limited on busy nights, so public transit or a prearranged ride is often simpler.

Is Budda Polanco wheelchair accessible?

Publicly available accessibility information is insufficient. No verified details were found about a step-free entrance, accessible restrooms, wheelchair seating, elevators or sensory accommodations. Visitors who require an accessible route should confirm the physical layout before purchasing. Do not assume that a newer-looking nightclub automatically meets every mobility or restroom requirement.

What sound and lighting system does Budda Polanco use?

The venue is described as having an LED-focused interior, but no public technical rider identifies speaker brands, amplifier models, mixing consoles, lighting fixtures, control systems or stage dimensions. Visitors can reasonably expect club-oriented sound and programmed visual lighting, but production details may change by event. Artists or promoters requiring technical specifications would need an event-specific production document.

What happened at Budda Polanco in July 2023?

A fire occurred inside the venue on July 1, 2023. Local reports said the fire was controlled and that two people were injured, including one person hurt while trying to escape and another affected by smoke. Coverage linked the incident to a spark or bottle-service bengala near dried plant decoration, but the available report does not establish a complete official cause determination.

Is Budda Polanco the same place as Buddha Bar on Masaryk?

No. The former Buddha Bar on Presidente Masaryk 433 was a separate restaurant and lounge with Asian-inspired décor, food service and a different operating history. It was later listed as closed. Budda Polanco refers to the later nightclub at Tolstoi 6 in Anzures, so references to the old Buddha Bar should not be used as evidence of Budda’s capacity, design or history.
