Events and Programming

Faunna Rooftop is primarily a dining, cocktail and nightlife venue whose event calendar leans strongly toward electronic music. House, Afro-house, tech house, deep house, progressive house, techno and trance appear repeatedly in its listings, usually in long afternoon-to-late-night formats built around sunset, DJs and dancing. The venue also accommodates live sets, brand showcases, networking gatherings, cultural activations and occasional regional Mexican or pop-oriented presentations.

The venue opened in late January 2025, so there is no verified Faunna Rooftop programme for 2021-2024 under this name. Its first substantial year, 2025, established the pattern that continues into 2026: independent promoters, resident-style venue programming, international electronic artists, themed day parties and immersive productions combining music with visual design, food, cocktails and social experiences.

Notable 2025 bookings included the DANZ Sunparty in February; the Afro-house and house event SSOUL Born in Sunset; AstroTribe in April; The Black Jaguar in May; DANZ’s second anniversary in May; Summer Experience in June; and a Tropiko Records and Cool Kids Never Die takeover in August. Later listings included Fran Ares with Mexican electronic artists, James Mac, the F! Formula 1 weekend programme, the Frontera collaboration between DANZ and CÔMA, and a December appearance by French Riviera house producer DERON.

The venue’s 2025 programme was not limited to conventional club nights. Summer Experience used an Egyptian-boho concept, ceremonial performances and Afro-house programming, while Frontera combined 14 hours of music with art, live painting and performance. Espacio Dinamismo’s KMPKT event included DJ sets, a modular-synth live set and a vinyl-only performance, showing that Faunna can support more curated underground formats as well as larger social parties.

Programming continued to broaden in 2026. Confirmed or listed events included the Torres Brandy Zero Challenge final, OWTLA Festival Boutique, Mystical Sunset, the PorQuéNo? daytime takeover, a Javiielo live appearance, a Metronomy after-party with Anna Prior and Olugbenga, a Prana Musik and Alta Facha event, the I Love Trance second anniversary, and a Coffee Party appearance by Sierra Vibes. OWTLA combined DJs from Mexico, Argentina and Uruguay with fashion, a bazaar, body paint and an eco-chic concept. The Metronomy after-party shifted toward house, nu-disco and indie dance, while the Javiielo date demonstrated that the room can also host a closer live-pop format.

As of August 30, 2026, publicly listed future activity includes a LATINOS showcase on September 12, a Time Differences Radio presentation with Vazik on September 19, an Andromeda Horizon event on October 3, and DANZ’s third anniversary on October 10. These listings suggest the venue will remain focused on electronic and experiential programming rather than a conventional concert-hall schedule. No verified Faunna Rooftop announcements beyond 2026 were found in the sources reviewed.

Tickets and Booking

Faunna has two different booking systems in practice. Regular dining is handled through table reservations, while ticketed parties are sold for individual events by the promoter responsible for that date. A reservation for dinner should not be assumed to include admission to a ticketed party, and a party ticket does not necessarily guarantee a dining table.

Public event listings show a broad price range. General-admission examples have included approximately MXN $200 to $500, while larger or more established electronic events have reached roughly MXN $600 to $700. Some daytime programmes have offered early access from about MXN $149 to $237, free entry during a limited early window, invitation-only access or registration-based admission. VIP and table packages can be substantially higher because they combine entry, priority access, bottle service or a minimum consumption requirement.

Popular events generally use phased pricing: an early-bird or friends-and-family stage is followed by higher-priced phases as capacity sells. Buying early is therefore the most reliable way to control cost. Arrive before the early-access deadline printed on the event information; some listings state that arriving later requires paying the difference at the door. Door sales are not guaranteed, particularly for limited-capacity parties.

Before purchasing, check the date, opening time, minimum age, re-entry policy, dress code, whether food and drinks are included, and whether the ticket is general admission or tied to a table package. Several event terms state that tickets are non-refundable for personal non-attendance, while refunds generally depend on a full cancellation rather than a change of plans.

About Faunna Rooftop

Faunna Rooftop is a rooftop restaurant, cocktail bar and event space at Avenida Juárez 104 in Colonia Centro, Cuauhtémoc, near the western edge of the Centro Histórico and the Reforma corridor. Event materials describe the venue as a penthouse or floor-14 location, while public listings consistently place it at the same Avenida Juárez address.

Its central identity is the combination of urban views, greenery, contemporary Mexican-influenced food, creative mixology and music. The venue describes itself as a refuge where nature integrates with city life, using abundant vegetation, strong colors, layered textures and a warm atmosphere. Views extend toward major central landmarks, including Palacio de Bellas Artes, Torre Latinoamericana, Alameda Central and the Reforma skyline.

Public venue listings give an overall capacity of approximately 350 guests. A separate description identifies three independent areas—Salón Iturbide, Salón Juárez and Salón Reforma—with capacity for up to 100 people each. These figures should be treated as event-planning guidance rather than a single fixed seating capacity, because the terrace is reconfigured for dining, dancing, private functions and ticketed productions. No verified public dimensions for the rooftop, stage, dance floor or individual rooms were found.

The culinary programme is associated with executive chef Miguel Rodríguez and is described as contemporary Mexican with international influences. Public descriptions mention dishes such as shrimp popcorn, Faunna Fries, suckling-pig tacos, tuna tostadas, Black Tuna, New York aguachile and Wagyu-style burgers, although the menu changes. The bar is a full-service operation with cocktails drawing on tequila, mezcal and Mexican ingredients.

Seating and Layout

Faunna is not a conventional theater with fixed rows. The event layout normally combines dining tables, lounge seating, bar positions and an open central area that becomes the dance floor. Perimeter tables are the most suitable for conversation, food and skyline views, while the central area is better for dancing and staying close to the DJ or performers.

Event-specific table maps have used lounge, premium and exclusive zones positioned at different distances from the DJ booth and dance floor. These arrangements are not necessarily permanent, so the best choice depends on the event. For scenery, choose a railing or outer-edge table and arrive before sunset. For music and social energy, choose a location closer to the DJ, bar or central dance area. ticketfairy.com

There is no verified public seating plan showing sightlines, exact table positions or acoustic zones for every event. The retractable roof and open sides mean the experience can change with wind, temperature and crowd density. Visitors seeking a quieter dinner should favour earlier weekday or early-evening periods; weekend DJ parties are the more energetic option.

Getting There and Parking

The address is Avenida Juárez 104, Colonia Centro, Cuauhtémoc, Mexico City, postal code 06040 in most current listings. Some directories display 06010, but the street address and Centro location are consistent. The venue is close to the Alameda Central, Palacio de Bellas Artes and the Reforma side of the historic center.

By Metro, the most useful stations are Bellas Artes on Lines 2 and 8, Hidalgo on Lines 2 and 3, and Juárez on Line 3. Bellas Artes is also served by Metrobus Line 4, while the nearby Reforma and Eje 1 Poniente corridors provide access to Metrobus Lines 3 and other connecting services. From Hidalgo or Juárez, follow the Reforma and Avenida Juárez corridor toward number 104; allow extra time for crowds, crossings and event-night queues.

Rideshare and authorized taxis can use Avenida Juárez for drop-off, although traffic may make the final approach slow during busy evenings. For late events, plan the return journey before leaving: Metro service ends around midnight, while Faunna’s listed hours extend to 2:00 a.m. on several nights. Rideshare or an authorized taxi is the more practical option after the Metro closes.

A current dining listing identifies valet parking and refers to Calle Iturbide number 5 in connection with parking. No reliable current price, operating schedule or number of spaces was found, so drivers should not assume that valet service is available for every ticketed party. Street parking in this part of the center is limited and event-night traffic can be difficult.

Inside the Venue

Entry begins at street level before guests travel upward to the rooftop. Reviews describe the approach as somewhat difficult to find and mention staff escorting guests through the entrance. Busy events may include ID checks, a body search or a bag check. Carry only what you need and keep the event ticket and photo ID ready.

The interior character is closer to a planted urban lounge than a bare club. Greenery, natural textures, warm lighting, lounge furniture and a full bar are central to the design. The roof can open for sunset and nighttime views, but covered areas remain important when weather changes. The rooftop may feel cool or windy after dark, so a light jacket is useful even when the afternoon is warm.

Food and drinks are available on site, with international and contemporary Mexican dishes, cocktails, beer, wine and spirits. The venue is positioned above the casual bar price level, with dining listings placing an average meal or visit above MXN $500 per person and another guide giving a typical food-and-drink range of approximately MXN $350-$800. Major cards are listed as accepted.

Public information confirms a full bar, outdoor seating, table service, Wi-Fi and private-event capability. Details such as coat check, merchandise, charging points, locker storage and the exact location of restrooms are not consistently published and should not be assumed. Event production can include visual installations, performers, live painting, body paint and themed décor, but these features depend on the promoter and date.

Nearby Amenities

Faunna’s location is useful for combining a show with a visit to the Centro Histórico. Palacio de Bellas Artes, Alameda Central, Torre Latinoamericana, Museo Mural Diego Rivera and the Reforma corridor are all within the broader walking area. This makes an early arrival worthwhile, particularly for sunset events when the skyline is part of the experience.

Food and drink choices around Avenida Juárez, Alameda and Centro range from casual Mexican restaurants and taquerías to hotel dining rooms, cafés, cocktail bars and cantinas. For accommodation, hotels in the Reforma and Centro areas include Barceló México Reforma, Hilton Mexico City Reforma and other properties within a short taxi ride or walk. Availability and rates vary sharply by weekend, holiday and major city events.

For a ticketed party, arriving 30 to 60 minutes before the advertised start is sensible. Add more time if you are collecting table credentials, meeting a group, checking in for a private event or trying to arrive before an early-entry price expires. On a normal dining visit, the earlier part of the evening is usually better for conversation and views.

What Makes This Venue Special

Faunna’s strongest distinction is the contrast between its setting and its programming. It places a garden-like rooftop above one of Mexico City’s busiest historic corridors, then uses the space for long electronic-music sessions that run from daylight into the early morning. The changing light, open roof and views toward Bellas Artes and Reforma give parties a visual progression that a conventional indoor club cannot reproduce.

The venue also occupies a useful middle ground in the local scene. It can function as a restaurant for cocktails and dinner, a private-event location, a brand-activation space, or a 300-plus-person party venue. Its event history shows collaborations among independent electronic promoters, international DJs, local producers, lifestyle brands, food-and-beverage companies and cultural communities.

There is not yet a long historic performance record: Faunna only opened in early 2025, and no major legacy concert or landmark architectural designation was verified. Its cultural importance is therefore emerging rather than established. The clearest contribution so far is the creation of a new Centro location for electronic music, sunset parties, cross-border DJ bookings, local talent and events that combine music with fashion, art, mixology and social networking.

Visitor Tips and Information

Most ticketed nightlife events are restricted to adults, commonly 18+, and some listings specify 21+. Bring valid government-issued photo ID. Daytime restaurant access may have different conditions, but the event listing controls the rule for that occasion.

Dress codes vary by promoter. Smart-casual is the safest general choice, while themed events may request boho chic, Tulum style, Egyptian boho or another festival-inspired look. One published event specifically prohibited caps, so avoid assuming that a casual daytime outfit will be accepted at a nighttime party.

Published event rules have included no re-entry, no outside food or drinks, no refunds for non-attendance and a right of admission. Professional cameras, tripods and larger recording equipment may require permission. Smartphone photography is common, but do not obstruct the dance floor or record other guests without consent.

Accessibility information requires particular care. Some restaurant directories label Faunna as wheelchair accessible, but public sources do not provide a verified step-free route, elevator dimensions, accessible seating plan, restroom specifications or an ADA-equivalent compliance statement. Reviews describe the entrance route as difficult to locate and the venue as being on an upper floor. Visitors who require step-free access should confirm the complete route, not just the building entrance, before buying an event ticket.

Finally, plan for weather. The retractable roof improves flexibility, but it does not remove the effects of cold air, wind or sudden rain on an open rooftop. A light jacket, comfortable shoes, a charged phone and a return-transport plan will improve the experience more than arriving overdressed or carrying a large bag.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Faunna Rooftop host concerts or only DJ parties?

DJ-led electronic events are the venue’s most consistent format, especially house, Afro-house, tech house and related styles. However, Faunna has also hosted live sets, pop-oriented showcases, regional Mexican presentations, brand events, networking gatherings and food-and-beverage competitions. The room is better understood as a flexible rooftop event space than as a dedicated concert hall with one fixed genre.

What kinds of music are most common at Faunna Rooftop?

House and Afro-house are the clearest recurring styles, with tech house, deep house, progressive house, indie dance, techno and trance also represented. Some events use a sunset-to-midnight structure, beginning with melodic or organic sounds before becoming more dance-focused. The exact genre depends on the promoter, so read the individual event description rather than relying only on the venue name.

How much should I budget for a Faunna Rooftop event?

Public listings show general admission ranging from free or registration-based access to roughly MXN $600-$700 for stronger lineups. A practical planning range for many ticketed parties is about MXN $200-$500, before drinks, food and service. Table packages can cost much more because they may include a minimum consumption, bottles, preferred access or admission for several guests.

Can I visit Faunna Rooftop without buying a ticket?

Yes, when the venue is operating as a regular restaurant and bar rather than hosting a closed or ticketed production. You will generally need a dining reservation if you want a table, especially at night. On event dates, ticket, table and minimum-consumption rules can replace normal restaurant access, so do not assume that a dinner reservation alone guarantees entry.

Is there a box office at Faunna Rooftop?

Faunna’s events are promoted and sold on an event-by-event basis rather than through a clearly documented permanent box office. Some events may have remaining door admission, but others can sell out or use guest lists and pre-registration. Buying in advance is safer, particularly when the listing mentions limited capacity, phased prices, early-entry deadlines or invitation-only access.

Are Faunna Rooftop tickets refundable?

Refund terms vary by event organiser, but published conditions commonly state that personal non-attendance, lateness, lost tickets and change of plans do not qualify for a refund. Some terms provide refunds only when an event is fully cancelled, while a postponement or venue change may leave the original ticket valid. Read the conditions attached to the specific event before paying.

What is the venue’s official capacity?

Public venue listings give Faunna Rooftop an approximate overall capacity of 350 people. Another description names three rooms—Salón Iturbide, Salón Juárez and Salón Reforma—with up to 100 guests each. Because dining, dancing, production equipment and VIP tables alter the usable floor area, the practical capacity for a particular event may be lower than the headline figure.

Does Faunna Rooftop have assigned seating?

It does not operate like a theater with fixed numbered rows. Standard visits use restaurant tables, lounge furniture, bar positions and standing areas. Ticketed parties may divide tables into lounge, premium and exclusive zones, sometimes with minimum bottle consumption. If seating matters, book a table or choose a dining period; general admission normally prioritizes access rather than a guaranteed seat.

Where is the best place to stand or sit?

Choose the outer edge for views, sunset photography and a calmer dining experience. Choose the bar or the area nearest the DJ for stronger social energy and easier access to the dance floor. Because event layouts change, the best location depends on whether the promoter has installed a stage, expanded VIP tables or moved the DJ booth for that production.

Is Faunna Rooftop indoors or outdoors?

It is an open-air rooftop venue with a retractable roof. That arrangement provides protection during some weather conditions while preserving the rooftop atmosphere, but wind and temperature can still affect the experience around the sides. The roof may also be open or closed depending on the event and weather, so bring a light layer for nighttime visits.

What happens if it rains?

The retractable roof gives the venue more flexibility than a fully uncovered terrace, but it does not make every area weatherproof. Rain, wind or a sudden temperature drop may change the layout, timing or comfort of a party. Check the event’s latest instructions, arrive prepared with a light waterproof layer and avoid carrying electronics or bags that cannot tolerate moisture.

Is Faunna Rooftop accessible for wheelchair users?

Some current restaurant directories label the venue as wheelchair accessible, but detailed route information is not publicly consistent. Sources do not clearly document the step-free path from street level to the rooftop, accessible restroom, elevator dimensions or designated event seating. If you use a wheelchair or mobility device, verify the entire route and the event layout before purchasing.

What Metro station is closest to Faunna Rooftop?

The practical Metro options are Bellas Artes on Lines 2 and 8, Hidalgo on Lines 2 and 3, and Juárez on Line 3. Metrobus connections include Bellas Artes on Line 4 and the Mina, Hidalgo and Juárez corridor on Line 3. Because exits are spread across busy streets, use Avenida Juárez 104 as the final navigation reference.

Does Faunna Rooftop offer parking?

A current dining listing identifies valet parking and references Calle Iturbide number 5, but no dependable current price or operating schedule is published. Street parking is limited in this busy central area. If driving, confirm valet availability for the specific event and allow extra time. Metro, rideshare or an authorized taxi is usually the less stressful option.

What time should I arrive for an event?

Arriving 30 to 60 minutes before the advertised start is a useful general rule. Come earlier if you want sunset views, need to collect table credentials, are meeting a large group or have an early-entry ticket. Early arrival also reduces the risk of missing a discounted access window or encountering a long security and ID-check line.

Are Faunna Rooftop events all ages?

No. Many nightlife events explicitly require guests to be 18 or older, and some specify 21+. A standard daytime restaurant visit may have different rules, but alcohol-focused parties and promoter takeovers normally apply the age requirement printed in the event information. Bring valid photo ID even if you look clearly over the minimum age.

Can I bring outside food or drinks?

Published event rules commonly prohibit outside food and beverages. Faunna operates its own kitchen and full bar, so guests are expected to purchase food and drinks inside. This rule can be enforced at the entrance, particularly during ticketed parties. Do not bring alcohol, large picnic-style bags or food intended for sharing unless the event specifically authorizes it.

Does Faunna Rooftop have a dress code?

The regular restaurant profile describes the dress standard as smart-casual or informal and elegant. Promoters may add a theme, such as boho chic, Tulum style or another festival look. Comfortable but polished clothing is the safest choice, with layers for cool nights. Avoid beachwear, gym clothing and items specifically prohibited in the event instructions, such as caps when stated.

What should I bring to Faunna Rooftop?

Bring a valid photo ID, your digital ticket or reservation details, a charged phone, a light jacket and a secure small bag. Comfortable shoes are important for standing or dancing. Avoid outside drinks, bulky luggage, professional camera equipment and anything that could be refused during security screening. Arrange your late-night ride before the Metro closes.
