Join Lightning Society and StoryTell for an evening of connection through conversation and personal storytelling. We'll explore our perspectives, curiosities, and personal stories on the theme of "Alone vs. Lonely".

Share a story about a place or group where you finally felt like you belonged. What's a moment you realized you'd built a "chosen family" without meaning to? Describe a time someone’s small kindness made you feel less alone. What's a time you were surrounded by people and still felt unseen? Describe the last time you asked for help instead of doing it alone. What actually closes the gap between being alone and feeling lonely? What is the difference between solitude and isolation?

What to expect:

  • 📖 Part storytelling! Feeling inspired by our conversation? Have a story to share? We'll be sharing true, personal stories based on an evolution you went through.

    • Stories are optional, open to anyone, and are limited to 5 minutes.

    • This is a low-stakes opportunity to share your story with a warm, open community in a "campfire stories" setting.

  • 💖 All community. Come to build in-person relationships through vulnerability, courage, and shared experience. You'll meet new open-minded, curious friends through deeper, intentional connection.
