A literary salon for the intellectually curious, hosted by The Galconomist, an independent print magazine covering culture, art, fashion, and identity, and presented by Lightning Society.

We have never had more information and less wisdom.

We can ask a machine any question and get an answer in seconds, so we have started outsourcing our judgment to something that has never lived. Meanwhile the people who actually carry earned knowledge, our elders, our traditions, the ones who learned things the slow way, get scrolled past. This salon is a deep-dive into wisdom in the age of the algorithm.
