Compare your ticket sales with your last event
Promoters of annual festivals and recurring shows judge an on-sale by one question: are we ahead of last year? Compared with last time lines this event up against your own last edition day by day, so your team knows whether to push marketing or relax without building a spreadsheet.
See how your event is selling against your last edition at the same number of days before the start: tickets sold, share of capacity, last time's total and, after the event, no-shows and how fast people arrived. Ticket Fairy suggests which earlier event to compare with, and you can choose another or turn the comparison off.

Avant de commencer
- You are an owner, admin, producer, marketing or stats member on the event. To see last time's figures you need one of those roles on the earlier event too, and to change which event it compares with you need an owner, admin or producer role.
- The Event Operating System is switched on for your account. Without it, the comparison does not show on the Statistics page.

Open the event's statistics
Open the event, select Statistics, then Performance. Compared with last time is near the top of the page.

Read the line that starts Compared with: the earlier event, its date and venue, and why Ticket Fairy suggested it, or who on your team chose it.
Remarque: Ticket Fairy suggests one of your brand's earlier events with the same or a similar name, about a year earlier or at the same venue. To compare with another, see the follow-up below.

Read how far ahead or behind you are
Read the sentence under it, for example 12% ahead of last year at this point, and the four figures: Tickets sold, Share of capacity sold, last time's total and No-shows.
Remarque: At this point means the same number of days before each event's start date, each in its own time zone, including the part of today that has passed. Before the event, No-shows says Not yet, and while the event is on, the fourth figure is Checked in so far against last time at the same time.

Compare by tickets or by share of capacity
Beside Tickets sold by days before the event, select Tickets or % of capacity.
Remarque: Use the share of capacity when the venue or the number of tickets changed since last time. When a ticket type has no limit, the capacity is unknown, and the comparison says so under the charts.

Read the comparison after the event
After the event, read the final sentence, for example You sold 10.7% more tickets than last year, the No-shows against last time and Arrivals by time from the start.
Remarque: Arrivals show the share of tickets sold that were scanned in at the door, counted from each event's start time. When nobody was scanned at the door, there is no no-show figure rather than 100% no-shows.

On the event's Operations page, read Compared with last time on Today, under the section tiles, and select See the full comparison to open the Statistics page.
Remarque: Today shows the sentence and this event's sales beside last time's at the same point. It is hidden when your team turned the comparison off.

Choose the event
Select Change, select the event or enter part of its name in Find an event, then select Save.
Remarque: The suggested event is first, with why it was suggested; Use the suggested event goes back to it. A message says
Saved. The comparison is updating.
Choose the event to compare with.
Fai lists the earlier events you can compare with and changes the choice after you confirm.

Select Change, select Don't compare this event, then select Save.
Remarque: The card on Statistics says who turned it off, and Today no longer shows it. Select Compare with last time to turn it back on.

Stop comparing <EVENT NAME> with an earlier event
Questions que vous pourriez avoir
- Why does it say it is working out the figures?
- The figures for one of the events are being added up. This usually takes about a minute, and the comparison shows by itself when it is ready.
- Why can I not see last time's figures?
- You do not have access to the earlier event. Ask an owner or admin to add you to it, or choose another event to compare with.
- Which tickets count as sold?
- Tickets that are still held by a buyer, counted on the day their order was placed, including tickets already checked in, on a payment plan or up for resale. A refunded ticket no longer counts, and a resold ticket counts on the day it was resold.
- Can I compare with another brand's event?
- No. The comparison uses your own brand's earlier events only, and never another brand's figures.
- What if two people change the event to compare with at once?
- The second save stops and names who changed it. Your choice stays selected, so save again to use it.
